Lockie

About the area: Lockie lives in central Edinburgh a short walk from the city centre so why not see the sights of this beautiful city before or after your pic up. Description of Beds: There is a full size fixed double bed which is 190 x 135 cm. You can also make up a small single bed between the two seats this measures 155 x 60 cm Description of Seating: There are three belted seats in the cab for driving. In the living area there are two seats. Description of Electrical Setup: Lockie can be used as a totally of grid camper. There is a large solar panel and the battery's also charge while you are driving. You can also use powered sites with the mains hook up. The inverter can run most electrical devices apart from things that create heat like hairdryers etc. There is a double usb charger socket and three mains plugs. Lockie also comes with a great screen projector for movie nights in! Parking: People genrally pick Lockie up from Marchmont in central Edinburgh which is a short taxi ride from both Waverly and Haymarket stations. If you are arriving by car there is free on street parking in a quiet residential area. Cooking Equipment: Lockie is totally kitted out for all your cooking needs. A full range of pots and pans sharp knifes chopping boards can openers etc. Also we keep olive oil and spices and salt and pepper in there as basics which you wont have to buy. Water and Sanitation: There is 40 ltrs of fresh drinkable water stored in 10 ltr tanks stored beneath one of the seats. Its a simple procedure to swap the tanks and the water is pumped to the sink from where the tanks are stored. There is a good sized chemical toilet that is stored in one of the living area seats. Its easy to use and can be taken out to be emptied with minimal fuss. There is a portable camping shower which you use by heating water on the stove and then using the shower outside of the van. Audio Equipment: There is Bluetooth audio hook up in the cab which is easy and straightforward to use, and a smart projector screen. Type of Heating: Lockie has a powerful diesel heater to keeep you toasty. It has a very simple on and of remote control on the wall in the van. Pet Information: We are pet friendly but if you would like to bring a dog with you on your trip it would be great if you could contact us first and give us the low down on the breed etc that would be great Conversion Story: From start to finish we have done all the work on Lockie. We love the simple clean white walls and light coloured wood work which hopefully makes Lockie a really relaxing place to be. About the Owner: After fully converting Edina also on Quirky campers we decided to do another one! My sister Mohsinah decided to get in on the act and is sharing the running and ownership of Lockie. We have been with Quirky for three years now and it has been a real joy. Its been so amazing to meet so many awesome people from all over the world who are as into van life as we are.
