About the area: Lago is situated 20 minutes north of Brighton and 20 minutes south of Gatwick Airport, with the channel tunnel just 90 minutes away. Lago lives on a 3-acre property protected by Cctv and electric sliding gates. Hirers are welcome to leave a car or two here for the duration of their trip. There are plenty of locations nearby to visit; Lago is just one hour from the incredible Concierge Camping and two minutes down the road from the wonderful Blacklands Campsite, which would be perfect for staying the night before you return. Description of Beds: Lago is typical of a VW campervan, with one rollaway bed and a mattress in the pop-top. You can comfortably sleep 2 adults and 2 children in the 2 small doubles. Description of Seating: Lago has 5 seat belts, so you are able to take an extra passenger if they have a tent to sleep in. The front double seats can swivel around easily to face the rear two, so sitting across from each other is no problem. This requires only the removal of 5 easy-to-access screw keys. For safety reasons, these must be screwed back in correctly before driving. All 5 seats have full-sized headrests and 3-point seatbelts, the two rear seats have isofix fixings Description of Electrical Setup: Lago has recently had solar installation. The lithium-ion battery also charges as you drive once disconnected from the mains. Parking: Hirers are welcome to leave their car at Lago's pick-up address. Cooking Equipment: Lago includes all the cooking equipment you’ll need for your trip, including pots and pans, silicone cooking utensils, nylon cooking utensils, tongs, scissors, knives in plastic guards, a corkscrew, garlic press, cutlery, a chopping board, large wine polypropylene 'glasses', plastic champagne flutes, polypropylene water glasses, melamine cups, small and large plates, bowls, silicone trivets, a collapsible colander, hob kettle, and a low voltage toaster (will not work off grid). For clearing, there is a collapsible washing-up bowl, a collapsible bucket for exterior drainage, a dustpan and brush, a tea towel, hand towel, microfibre cloth, washing-up sponge and liquid. Water and Sanitation: Lago has a cold water shower in the rear of the vehicle for exterior use only, great for cleaning muddy boots. There is also a Thetford porta-potti 145 available for hire as an optional extra which will come with toilet paper and chemicals. Type of Heating: Lago has a diesel heater fitted that will keep you cosy in all weather and all seasons. Pet Information: Lago is happy to welcome dogs. Please select add-ons; the price is per dog (max 2) to cover additional cleaning. Seat covers will be provided and must be used throughout the rental period. Extra Information: Lago has a dash cam and tracker fitted for safety. Traditional wooden games compendium and 4 lap fleeces are included, as standard. The conversion was carried out by a small local business. The entire team took a very personal approach to the conversion and thoroughly enjoyed personalising Lago to the end, including constructing the leather in-house and choosing BMW Atlantis Blue to mirror the lagoon leather that accents the seats. Lago has also been fitted with van shades for the side windows and blackout magnetic blinds for the front windows.
