About the area: Barnabee lives just south of Oxford in a small village 10 minutes from the ring road. Ideally situated for the Cotswolds and the Chilterns. There is also easy access to the A34/M4/M40. Description of Beds: The bed is a standard double with a memory foam mattress measuring 135cm x 190cm, sleeping 2 people very comfortably. It's a fixed bed at the back of the van and doesn’t need packing away every day. Description of Seating: The front seats are a single driver's seat and a bench seat for 2 on the passenger side all with seatbelts. There are 2 single seats in the main living space of the van with a pull out table for dining. Description of Electrical Setup: Barnabee has a great off-grid set up, and can also be connected to a hook-up. It has a 175 watt solar panel with victron controller backed up by 2 AGM batteries giving the off-grid capability. It also has a 240v hook up to be used at campsites. There are 6 USB ports, one 3 pin 240v socket and one 12v car cigarette lighter style socket. The van also has a 2 way ceiling fan above the cooker allowing air flow in or out depending on the situation, this has a black out pull over screen for night time. Parking: There is plenty of free roadside parking available in the quiet village where your car can be left. Cooking Equipment: Barnabee contains everything you need for cooking. There is a 2 ring calor gas cooker, a stove top Bialetti Moka coffee maker, a stove top kettle and an electric kettle (mains hook up only), pots, pans, crockery, glasses and cutlery for 2 people. There is a Weber Go Anywhere BBQ available to hire for extra cooking capacity. There is also an under counter fridge with a small freezer compartment to keep your ice cubes in. Water and Sanitation: The van has a 24 litre water tank with a sure flow electric pump which supplies cold water to the kitchen sink. Hot water will need to be heated using the kettle. Waste water is collected in a freestanding 26 litre tank that needs to be connected outside the van and emptied into a grey water drain. There is a removable Thetford toilet stored in a purpose built drawer under the bed that pulls out for use, this can be rented additionally if required. Audio Equipment: Barnabee has a radio in the driving cabin. There is also a Sonos Roam Bluetooth speaker allowing you to play your own music, and a 12v TV with aerial mounted at the foot of the bed allowing you to watch freeview channels where signal permits. The TV has one Hdmi port should you wish to connect your own device to it. Type of Heating: The van has an built in diesel heater and Dodo insulation allowing all year round use. Pet Information: Barnabee is pet friendly but we do please ask that you keep all pets off the bed and chairs to keep them clean and avoid rips and tears Extra Information: Barnabee began life as a Cornish school minibus before being converted into the campervan you see today. We have tried to use premium materials in the van and all worktops and the pull out table are oak with a copper splash back in the kitchen area. The cedar ceiling is lined with dimmable LED lighting and also has 2 bedside lights. Outside there is also an extendable awning, 2 outdoor chairs and an outdoor table for extra living space can be hired as an extra to make the most of warm summer days. Conversion Story: We bought Barnabee after a long and careful hunt. It has been converted to our own specifications and we have spent many an enjoyable night in it with our dog exploring the UK coasts and countryside. We want others to experience the wonders of our local area and beyond. We hope people will enjoy the cosiness we have tried to create in our relaxed space.
