About the area: Yan is located in Kendal, The Lake District. With easy access to both the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks. Ideally situated for exploring, whether you are testing yourself on the Yorkshire Three Peaks, climbing some of the country’s best crags, paddle boarding on Lake Windermere or just strolling around the Lakes and taking in the sights. Description of Beds: Yan sleeps up to four people. There is space for two in a slide away L-Shaped sofa-bed which cleverly extends to measure 118 x 197cm (at its longest point) and has super comfy 10 cm thick firm foam. 1-2 people can also sleep in the pop-top which is 112 x 180cm (with some extra room for feet to hang off the end of the bed if needed). This can also be used without the bed pulled down, for extra headspace and room during the day. Description of Seating: There are three belted seats in the front (including the driver) with headrests. In the main living area, you have a comfy L-Shaped sofa-bed with custom upholstery made out of Repreve recycled fabric. The passenger seat is fitted with a double swivel to add two more seats to the living area and the pop up section of the bed extends the L-Shaped seating even further. Yan can comfortably seat 6-7 people. Description of Electrical Setup: Yan has 6 USB charging points, and with a split charge system, solar panel and powerful battery, you’ll never be short of power. The 500W pure sine wave inverter can charge laptops and other low powered 240v devices. This means you can remote work to your heart’s content, completely off-grid. There is more than enough power to run the fridge, lighting, inverter and heater for many days! Description of Storage: In addition to a large easy-access rear storage drawer, Yan has a cupboard underneath the sofa, as well as two rear compartments around the wheel arch (one is perfect for storing your shoes!). The kitchen packs a punch with a 50L compressor fridge and lots of drawers and cupboards housed underneath the ample worktop. Parking: IIf you arrive by train, Oxenholme Station is half a mile down the road. It is possible to walk or taxi from here (or we will give you a lift if we are around- we are always keen to promote train travel). If you drive to collect Yan, there is ample parking in the parking area outside Contour Campervan Furniture's workshop. Cooking Equipment: Yan has a spacious kitchen and worktop along the side of the campervan. The kitchen has a two burner gas hob and compressor fridge and is fully equipped with cooking equipment for whipping up a feast; including: frying pan, saucepan, kettle, coffee percolator, trivets and cutlery for two. There is also a grater, peeler, corkscrew, bottle/can opener, drying mat, sponge, washing up liquid, hand soap, dustpan and brush. Yan has a sturdy and large table which can be used in multiple positions in the rear of the van making it perfect for games, eating, remote working or extra countertop space. The table cleverly transforms into an infill panel for the bed at night. Water and Sanitation: There are 19L freshwater and 19L wastewater removable water tanks under the sink that supply water via a pump. This is an impressive capacity for a small campervan and with economical water usage you can make this last for a few days. There is a solar shower that can be used outside (you use a hook to hang it off a tree etc). This can either be heated by the sun or you can use the kettle to make a hot shower whenever you need and whatever the weather! Audio Equipment: Yan has a factory fitted head unit with radio. There is an additional bluetooth powered option for playing music in the cab along with charging outlets (USB and 1 USB C) and a windscreen mounted phone holder for navigation. In the rear of the van you have USB points (which can charge a portable speaker). Type of Heating: Yan has a high-powered LPG heater to keep you toasty and warm all year round. This makes winter camping in Yan super cosy (it’s actually one of our favourite seasons for van trips). This is powered by a refillable LPG tank underneath the van. Yan also has opening side windows with built-in fly screens. Pet Information: Yan is dog friendly, if you choose to bring a pet, please add the pet add-on option. It is your responsibility to ensure that muddy paws stay off the custom upholstery and furniture. There's plenty of room for your pet to relax, even with the bed extended in bed mode.
