Beds:. There is a full size fixed double bed fitted with a hotel quality mattress to ensure that you have the best possible night’s sleep in your mini home from home. The bed area also benefits from touch on/off lights (as does the rest of the living space), 2 USB points and side cupboards that convert to tables for easy living. Above the bed you will find a large skylight – perfect for some stargazing and the inspiration for Skycamper’s name. In addition to the main bed the seating area is also a comfortable place to sleep for a smaller individual. Seating:The front of the van has 3 ample sized seats that are comfortable for 3 people, even on longer journeys. All seats are belted and all belts are 3 point fixed. The rear has a large comfortable bench seat that seats 3 and a huge pull out table that comfortably allows for 3 people to eat. With its fold out coffee table the step is a lovely place to sit and admire the views! There are also mains and USB points easily accessible here. Location: Skycamper lives in Appleby-in-Westmoreland, Cumbria. Appleby-in-Westmorland lies on the river Eden and is the perfect location for travels within The Lake District, Northumberland The Yorkshire Dales and The Pennines. We are also situated close to the M6 near Tebay, which is convenient for travel plans to Scotland including adventures on the North Coast 500. Appleby-in-Westmorland has kept its old world charm and the people of Appleby are amongst the friendliest you can find. With Castle and Keep at the brow of the main street and the town at its foot, it seems as if time has stood still. A walk up Boroughgate can transport you back into Medieval England, while the charm of the riverside walk provides an opportunity to experience the tranquillity of the countryside within five minutes of the town centre. Pets: We know that your trip wouldn’t be complete without your treasured pets, that’s why we are happy to welcome well behaved small to medium sized dogs on board. I’m sure that we’d also be able to accommodate if you want to bring your cat, ferret or even pet possum just let us know when you book*. For those who don’t have pets, don’t worry, Skycamper will be thoroughly cleaned after every hire and all traces of the previous occupants will be gone! *fee applies Parking: Skycamper is parked on private driveway in a residential area. If you are travelling by car, you are welcome to leave your vehicle on Skycamper’s usual spot on the private drive without any additional cost for the duration of your trip. The area is covered by a Cctv system. If you are travelling by train Skycamper’s owners can pick up from Appleby Station. Kitchen: Skycamper’s fully equipped kitchen is home from home complete with solid oak worktops, tiled splash-backs, Belfast sink, two-burner hob, grill and oven and a top of the range Dometic fridge/freezer. There is nothing quite like cooking a wonderful meal in a luxurious kitchen while looking out at one of a thousand amazing views. Skycamper’s kitchen is at the heart of the design and we take great pleasure in having everything that you would expect from a high end home kitchen at your fingertips. Cooking equipment includes: kettle | pans | frying pan | baking tray | oven proof dishes | measuring jug | mixing bowl | scales | chopping board | kitchen utensils | breadknife and utility knife | tin opener | corkscrew/bottle opener | crockery | cutlery | glass tumblers and flutes for 3 people. Skycamper is stocked with cleaning supplies, tea towels, towels and a dustpan and brush. Water and Toilet Facilities: Comes complete with 2 x 25 litre fresh water tanks that are easily removable and refillable. These tanks are plumbed into the taps in the sink and provide good water pressure. Skycamper also comes with a mini water heater pump to provide warm water for showers, personal hygiene and washing up. Also comes with a 25 litre waste water tank that is fitted with an overflow alarm to prevent any overfilling mishaps. One of our favourite parts of the conversion, and an essential on any off grid trip, is the composting toilet. Far better, cleaner, easier and more pleasant to deal with (not to mention much more eco friendly!), than the traditional chemical toilet. Audio Equipment: Skycamper’s cab comes with standard Mercedes Audio equipment including radio and phone connections. In the living space we have included a Samsung Bluetooth speaker so you can listen to your favourite music and shows. Other Equipment: Skycamper also has a reversing camera that takes the stress out of parking and manoeuvring. Comes fitted with 600 watt solar panels and 2 high quality leisure batteries, all managed and controlled by top of the range Victron power management equipment to ensure that you always have power when you need it. The lighting comes from touch on/off led’s across the ceiling and a secondary set of switched led’s to give you some extra light when you need it. Also comes equipped with led strip lights in the garage and kitchen and a reading light at the head of the bed. There are also 3 mains sockets which are perfect for powering laptops and other low power appliances. Comes with hook up point compatible with campsite power points. Heating and cooling: Top of the range Eberspacher Diesel Heated provides the heat, this combined with high quality insulation throughout ensures that you will be toasty all night long even in the middle of the Scottish Winter! The other side of this is the remote control MaxX Air Fan that can be set to maintain a constant temperature to keep you cool on those warmer days and nights. Plates, mugs, tumblers, Champagne glasses and cutlery for three. All cooking and kitchen equipment. Bedding and all soft furnishings including throws and cushions.
