Description of Beds: Sophia has been designed with a family of four in mind. The layout has been thought to keep a peaceful permanent rear bed bunk set up designed to sleep two people per bunk with a spacious 146cm W – 174cm L comfy mattresses. Description of Seating: Our cosy conversion has four three point belted seats: two single swivel seats with headrest in the cab and a double seat with twin headrests in the rear. When parked up, the single cab seats can swivel round while facing the rear passenger seats/dining area. Electrical Setup: Sophia is fully equipped with a shore external hook up (connection to mains power) which is complemented with a roof mounted 160 watt solar panel linked to a 110Ah AGM Battery and Inverter. Inside the van there are 2 mains socket outlets and well distributed range of usb charging points throughout both beds, dining area, kitchen and cab. Standard use would allow Sophia’s electrical setup a couple of off-grid days. Location: Leamington Spa is Sophia’s home, parked on a quiet residential area. Leamington is ideally situated only 5 miles from junctions 13 and 14 of the M40, 4 miles from the A46 and 11 miles from the e town is also easily accessible from the North via the M6 (J4a), and clear signage makes travelling to Royal Leamington Spa simple. The train station is a short walk from the town centre and provides excellent transport links. There are direct train links to Royal Leamington Spa from many neighbouring towns and cities such as: Coventry, Birmingham and London. Parking: There is plenty of affordable parking in Leamington Spa with spaces available both on-street and in car parks. All car parks are pay and display. Please note that not all car parks accept coins. Card payments and Ring-Go sessions are available in all surface car parks. Some streets only permit either 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours paid parking. Kitchen Equipment: Sophia has two gas hobs inside and a 80L fridge-freezer. It comes with a fully equipped indoor kitchen which comprises: 4 bamboo cups/mugs, 4 bamboo bowls and 4 bamboo large dining plates, wood cutlery for 4, chopping board, kettle and a large saucepan. There is a corkscrew/bottle opener, 1 sharp knife and a bread knife. Sophia also has a stove-top toaster that you can use over the gas hob. Water Facilities: Our van is kitted out with a lovely hot inside shower and a Thetford portable toilet. Sophia has a 120 litre grey and another 120 litre clean water tank that feeds into a Propex water heater which provides instant hot water to the internal sink and shower. This is perfect for those planning to spend time off grid and be reliant on internal washing facilities. Heating: The van has been originally fitted with a Mercedes Full-EU GPS Infotainment system with Bluetooth Enabled Hands free link. Equipped with two front cab main speakers, this can be easily complemented with rear Bluetooth speakers Despite having a double layered insulation covered by internal wood lining, Sophia has a diesel heater to keep you warm in the evenings. Conversion Story:Sophia began it’s life as a maintenance support van (albeit one with air-con in the cab). We bought her after a long and careful hunt motivated by a surprising campervan Easter getaway. She was converted in 2020 by in the Midlands after we spotted their beautiful designs on Instagram. Trips with Sophia must be within the UK only (no EU travel) and sorry but no pets allowed.
