About the Campervan

About the area: Reggie the Relay is located in a quiet London suburb, a 15 minute walk from Berrylands train station. Alternatively, it’s a 30 minute walk from Surbiton station, or the K2 bus takes you straight to our house from there. Description of Beds: Reggie the Relay sleeps three adults in a 1.8 x 1.6m double and a 1.8 x .74m single. The single could also fit two small children top and tailing. There’s still space to sit up on the double bed under the sky light, which we like to do with a morning coffee! Description of Seating: Reggie the Relay seats up to five, there are three seats in the front and two seats in the rear, all with headrests and three point belts. The front three seats all swivel round to provide a good sized seating area for five. Description of Electrical Setup: The power comes from two large solar panels on the roof which lead to two 12v 100ah lithium batteries. There is a huge amount of off-grid power, kettle, and the air fryer all work with ease, even when it's cloudy. There is an inverter and two 3 pin plugs plus multiple USB charging points. Each bed has its own reading light with dimmer option. Parking: You can park your car where Reggie the Relay is normally parked; tucked away down our drive. Cooking Equipment: The kitchen has a generous sized fridge freezer, and a two hob stove with a grill. An outdoor extra single burner is available if needed. There are two saucepans, a frying pan, as well as other cooking utensils. Cutlery and crockery for four, non-breakable cups and wine glasses, kettle, good sized sink and hot water tap. Water and Sanitation: The toilet/shower room has plumbed in hot water, powered by the boiler which can use LPG or mains electricity when on hook-up. The shower has three outputs, including a handheld shower head. The toilet has a flush and an 18 litre capacity, with easy access to empty the cassette. The fresh water, waste water and LPG tanks are all underneath Reggie. We use refillable 5L containers for drinking water. Audio Equipment: Reggie the Relay has a pioneer head unit, with car play and a reversing camera. A mini rig is available as an extra if needed. Type of Heating: There is a Truma boiler for heating which is powered by LPG, or electrical hook up. Pet Information: We currently do not accept pets in Reggie the Relay. Conversion Story: We have always enjoyed camping and festivals, but as we’re a bit older and have a little girl, we decided the time was right to get the campervan we always wanted! We found Reggie in September 2023 and finished the conversion in June 2024. Our friend Dave, who is a cabinet maker based in Frome, did most of the build for us. Extra Information: We love the awning on Reggie, it gives so much extra space and cover. The rear mini bus seats were a great theme starter for us!

A great experience from start to finish! Sam & Katie were very helpful and friendly from the get-go. We'd not camper-vaned before so was really reasuring to be able to ask any questions and feel confident before we set off. The van, Reggie, was exactly as advertised so I was chuffed to bits when me & my two little lads (9&7) arrived in Berrylands and were given a thorough, efficient tour with Sam. Easy to drive away, and what a few days we had. All the things we needed were there - from driving, cooking, relaxing to sleeping in peace. Reggie was ace. The heating was an amazing touch- as it heated the space easy & quick. I had a warm shower which was amazing as the campsite shower was chilly- so reggie came to the rescue. Highly recommend Sam/Katie & their charming, spacious, comfortable & loads of fun camper. Defo go for 3+ nights if you can to really make the most if it. Would love to book again for sure 🙌
