Flossie

About the area: Flossie the campervan is located in Whitley Bay, a coastal town in the North East of England, about 20 minutes from Newcastle Upon Tyne. This is a great starting point for road trips and is a stone’s throw from Northumberland, where you can experience Kielder Forest, Bamburgh Castle and beyond. Description of Beds: Flossie has space to sleep up to 2 people in a full-sized double bed. The bed is easily converted in the evening from a U-shaped sofa, allowing maximum use of the space during the day. Description of Seating: There are three belted seats in the front including the driver with headrests. There is a spacious U-shaped seating area for relaxing during the day, or socialising around the table at night. Description of Electrical Setup: Flossie has a few options when it comes to off-grid power. You can hook up at campsites or use the 350W solar panels. Flossie has a 240Ah AGM battery set-up with a massive 2000W inverter. 2x 240 plug sockets can be found in the kitchen area, and 2x in the seating area along with 4x USB sockets. Parking: There is space for 1 vehicle in the storage facility where Flossie is usually parked-up. This is a locked facility so extremely secure place to leave your vehicle when collecting the van. Cooking Equipment: Flossie has everything you could need to cook up a feast. Including; a 3 hob gas burner, gas oven and grill, 4 plates, bowls, plastic glasses, mugs, cutlery for 4, a chopping board, kettle, frying pan and saucepan. Water and Sanitation: There is both an indoor and outdoor shower available to use in Flossie. The indoor shower is heated via a gas water heater and the outdoor shower is cold water only There is a toilet available for rent which can be used either in the bathroom (removed for showering) or a toilet tent is available for hire to use outside the campervan. There is a water filter meaning Flossie has safe drinking water from the sink, situated in the kitchen area. Both fresh and grey water tanks are underslung to maximise internal space, with a clear gauge to monitor how much water you have left. Type of Heating: Flossie has a gas heating system with 3 outlets in the van and 1 in the shower room to act as a clothes drier so she is perfectly set up for winter van adventures. Conversion Story: After a trip in a Quirky Camper van in 2021 to experience Vanlife, we quickly fell in love with it. We bought the van new in 2021 and she was lovingly converted by a local converter over 6 months in 2021. Carefully designed after hours of Pinterest and Youtube research and named Flossie after her flossie white interior and exterior. We love her, and we think you will too! About the Owner: We are a family from Newcastle who love being outdoors, hiking, paddle boarding and seeing new places. The idea that we can do all this with the comfort of a luxurious home on wheels to return to after a day in the fresh air was a game changer!
