About the area: Liberty is located in the heart of Guildford, set in the leafy Surrey hills, an area of outstanding beauty. Easy to reach from London (30 min down the A3 or by train from Waterloo), under 45 minutes from both Gatwick and Heathrow, 10 minutes from Guildford main train station and 2 minutes from Guildford London Road train station. Liberty has toured the UK and Europe and is in top-spec condition. Add-ons means you can be collected from London airports and local stations, park on the drive, have the fridge stacked before you go and even extend your stay in a shepherd's hut on site either side of your trip. Description of Beds: Liberty has a bespoke built-in double bed (2m x 1.3m). There is enough headspace to sit up in bed, and lots of storage space underneath, including a full-size top-spec electronic piano keyboard, easily accessible for budding or professional pianists who love to play a tune on the road. Description of Seating: There are three belted seats in the front (including the driver) and in the back there is a bench, which can be divided into two seats, one of which is moveable and can be placed anywhere in the van when not in transit, enabling you to change the location of your seat to make most of your view. Description of Electrical Setup: Liberty is fully off-grid with solar panels and an inverter. You don't need anything extra and can simply park up for the night wherever you like. You can also hook up to electricity where provided if you need more power beyond light, charging devices etc. Inside there are 4 sockets and 3 USB charging points. Parking: At the time of booking you can request to book a space on my drive. The drive entrance is not suitable for vehicles wider than 2.4 meters. Alternatively, cars can be parked safely on a non-resident-only road in a quiet residential area a couple of minutes' walk away. Guildford mainline station is 15 minutes away on foot. Kitchen Facilities: In addition to the two gas hobs inside, there is an option to request a BBQ that you can use to cook outside. Liberty has everything you could need to cook up a feast, including china mugs, espresso cups, glasses, bowls, large china dining plates, cutlery, sharp knives, bottle opener, a chopping board, a mocha machine and kettle for the hob, a frying pan, large and small saucepan. Bathroom Facilities: There is a 50-litre water tank in Liberty that supplies heated water to the shower and kitchen sink via a pump. There is also an enclosed chemical indoor toilet and shower. Liberty has a water softener and provided you keep the tank topped up with drinkable water from a main water supply you'll have high-quality pure water wherever you go. Audio Equipment: Liberty has a Bluetooth radio unit and two pod speakers. Type of Heating: Liberty was made to live in and is incredibly well insulated. In addition, she has her own radiator, keeping you warm even when there is frost outside and has a warm-air floor. Pet Information: Liberty is small-dog friendly, and may be accepted if sleeping in a dog basket in the cab at night at the discretion of the owner upon request. Booking the dog bed is an extra and required. There is an additional £15 dog-specific cleaning fee if you would like to bring your small four-legged friend. Conversion Story: Liberty was converted professionally in 2020. She was converted to a very high standard, as the previous owner intended to live in her and play music, whilst discovering the world, hence the unique set-up which includes a piano and guitar stand - both cleverly tucked away and not minimising the space available. I bought her as a luxury off-grid dream in 2022. About the Owner: My parents took me camping when I was only 6 weeks old.....I love nature and feeling the fresh air on my skin, but over time I've also grown to like indulgent luxuries in life, a comfortable bed, crisp linen, a warm shower, and a perfectly brewed illy espresso. I have worked remotely and virtually for the last 15 years and Liberty has a top-spec wifi set-up, enabling me to escape without compromising on the comforts of my own home at any time. Extra Information: The van was converted by Helen and David, who professionally have converted many Quirky vans. It includes a full-size piano, which you can pull out from under the bed. It also has a guitar stand, although I tend to use it to hang my towels. There is space under the bed to store your bike inside. There is a table which pulls out from under the bed and another additional spare table stored in the back which is attached to one of the seats so you can sit opposite each other. The seats can be placed next to each other to form a bench, or disconnected, enabling you to move one seat to where you would like to sit. In winter my favourite spot is next to the heating looking out of the side window or through the open side door. There is space in the shower to hang and dry your wetsuit and there is a small radiator drying rack you can hang over the radiator if you need to dry anything else.
