Vehicle Description

Serenity is a beautiful white ford transit with a hand crafted conversion, using reclaimed wood from old barrels. The original owner bought her from new and sent her to be converted by a professional conversion business in Scotland. Serenity has oodles of charm and quirky personality and totally lives up to her name! She sleeps up to 4 using the rock n roll bed and the pop top roof.

Included with the van: Awning and new awning poles, 4 camping chairs, 2 tables, plates, bowls & mugs for 4 people, a toilet and toilet tent, cutlery, utensils, chopping board, small saucepan set, cafetière, kettle, storage tins ……. add your sleeping bags and she’s good to go!

Mechanically she is sound, runs really well and does between 620 – 650 miles on a full tank of diesel. Serenity was originally part of the Quirky fleet so has been serviced every 6 months -however, the previous owner didn’t have the log book filled in so instead I have a paper trail of receipts until I had her serviced last December. Her next MOT is due in December and in advance of this (and also as I am selling her) she is booked in to have new brake pads and be given a ‘once over’

Bodywork: White van with no rusty spots, no dents or bumps – I won’t say pristine as she is used and has natural wear and tear, but essentially she looks good! There are some sweet decals on the body work from the previous owner – these are tastefully placed and applied. There is a solar panel on the roof which provides the charge for the fridge and other electrics.

Interior: Two leather belted front seats which allow easy access to the rear of the van . The passenger seat turns around to be rear facing when needed. There is a leather rock n roll bed used as a belted two seater bench chair. This bed is smooth and easy to pull out and push back in. Serenity has an electric fridge, sink and double gas hob. There are 3 sets of powered lights connected to the electrics – spot lights, down lights and fairy lights. There are also usb connectors for helpful phone charging – all powered by the solar electrics. As quirky details, Serenity has a spice rack, wine holder and double wine glass holder. The rock n roll bench / bed also creates two seats facing the rear of the van – used to enjoy a lovely sunset! One back door has a lift up table to accompany the little seats – essential for placing your glass of vino! Another quirky element is the table that can be placed and fitted into the centre of the van – it is a beautiful, naturally formed ‘slice’ of wood from a tree trunk and is so unique. When not in use the table stores neatly behind the drivers seat. The rear doors of the van have interior portholes which are very cute and add to the character of the van. All the rear windows have darkened glass for privacy, and on that topic, Serenity has hand made curtains that secure privacy during the night time. The switches for the heater, water pump, lights and fridge are mounted on the side of the van for easy usage. Serenity has gas heating, powered by the solar charge battery. The solar charged battery is also powered by the engine so it’s very easy to top up on a cloudy day. It is separate from the van’s battery so there’s little risk of depleting battery power.

The pop up roof bed is really useful and great to sleep in. During the day this allows you to fully stand up in the van. The pop up is like a little Bedouin tent – cosy and warm. It has a front viewing window, and 2 side zipped windows.

Storage: There are two roomy cupboards to store crockery, pans, some food etc I fitted all my camping stuff under the rock n roll bed so there is plenty of room. I also found a useful storage space under the front passenger seat.

Summary: Serenity is a great van, full of character and a joy to drive. She has given me no problems at all; even when i camped out during the winter months – she was cosy and warm and a delight to be in.

Please do email or text me with any questions – Thanks, Joy x
