Glasfryn (Wild With Consent)

Overview

Sweeping 360 views of the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons make you feel on top of the world at Glasfryn.

At the top of the farm on Blue Hill, this site is a stunning spot to take in the beauty of the Welsh landscape. The small family farm is home to a flock of sheep and herd of beef cattle, and ancient woodland in the dell at the bottom of the hill. Andrew can take you on a farm tour to show you around if he’s available during your stay.

Hay-on-Wye is just 7 miles away, so this is the perfect spot for visiting the famous literary town and then retreating for a peaceful evening watching the wildlife. Check out Hay Festival at the end of May for a week of literature and arts.

If you’re after some more active pursuits, there is great walking and cycling in the area. The Brecon Beacons are just 10 miles away for more challenging hikes.

Access is straight off the lane, which can be narrow in places, then a short drive across the grass field.
