OVERVIEW

We have created many cherished memories with every mile driven in this classic camper van, and are hoping to re home her with someone looking to do the same.

‘Lilly’ is a lovely white-over-yellow camper, a perfect example of a well-loved and very original T1 in great condition. With a delightfully retro interior and lovely period touches, this collectible vintage camper is the perfect getaway companion.

THE INTERIOR

Like all original VW campers, this T1 Splitscreen features a classic, vintage design with all the expected amenities and plenty of retro charm. With pastel striped wall material and window blinds that complement the cream cushions and pastel blue polka dot table of the rear compartment beautifully.

In the front of the van the original seats have been reupholstered and are in great condition, having been retrimmed in “Coffee Beige” vinyl. They feature original-spec lap-belts and the dashboard and instrumentation are in great condition. The screen-wash tank was replaced with a water bottle on the steering column for maximum convenience (this can, of course, be easily reversed).

Original ‘rock-and-roll’ bed, table and bench seat in great condition adding to the retro charm. Much of the interior, including the inner roof, floor and many of the fitments, are finished in a rich coloured wood. With practical storage cubbies, a wardrobe and a mirror, it makes this T1 a quirky yet convenient camping companion. 

THE EXTERIOR

Sporting the iconic split-screen design and two-tone paint job, so reminiscent of sunny Californian beach days, this joyous little camper is presented in great condition. The paintwork has been refreshed, with a full respray having been undertaken. Custom chrome bumpers and a chrome front VW badge have also been added, while the originals can be supplied as part of the sale if wanted. All of the exterior trim is intact and in great condition after a significant recent refurbishment to ensure it is fully road-worthy.

‘Lilly’ has been serviced and maintained regularly (most recently £,4000 spent on chasis and bodywork rust renovation as well as electronics overhaul by Beetlelink). She drives very well and is in full working condition, with no mechanical issues, we recently returned from a trip from Surrey to Cornwall and back again, with no issues!
