VW 1972 crossover year bay campervan
1972 crossover year bay window VW campervan with Subaru engine conversion.
I’ve owned this very special vehicle for the past 6 years, reluctantly selling due to a growing family and now needing a larger vehicle.
The van has much of the original interiors and a beautiful blue and white exterior paintwork. There are 4 belted seats (two front seats and two belted seats in the back), a double rock and roll bed and a pop top roof for additional sleeping space for small children. It has been a fantastic vehicle for weekends away and festivals.
Since owning the van I have done a Subaru engine conversion (at Fellows speed shop), soundproofed and insulated at Bromsgrove interiors, installed a solar panel, leisure battery, fridge and 240V hookup, short shift gear stick and full dash respray with steering wheel and stereo, new brake servo, lowered 40mm with adjustable front beam, installed new door cards and new rear lights. Sold as seen with service history and paperwork for many of the upgrades – tax and MOT exempt.
Open to sensible offers and interested buyers are welcome to call to arrange a viewing. Collection from Gloucester.
Rock and roll bed which converts to a double, and pop top roof with bed for up to two children.
The contact details for this vehicle are no longer available because it has either sold or the listing has expired.
