1984 VW T25 HOLDSWORTH VARIETY

RARE Watercooled 1984 VW T25 HOLDSWORTH VARIETY, 1.9L Petrol Mid-Top Design in great working order – with a unique interior configuration. This vehicle has manual transmission.

New MOT, renewable in June 2024, full-service history. 17,689 miles on the clock. With Bessie being first registered in 1984, she is classified as a ‘Historic’ (Classic) car meaning an MOT is no longer required, but recommended.

Reconditioned engine installed in 2021, with a new clutch and exhaust system, since then two new rear wishbones installed plus general welding as expected with a camper of this age. New paint respray in 2019 in original colours with decals.

Gets up to 70mph easily on motorway with the 1.9L – a bonus for the long drives. We have fitted a separate temperature gauge for more accurate temp readings. Happily drives on motorways at 60-70mph for long journeys, we aim to stick to 65mph. Recently, went from Worcester to Elan Valley (Wales) to Windsor with no issues / challenges, over one weekend.
Original features including: 12V leisure battery, fridge (not currently working), gas hob, small sink with electric pump, new(ish) radio with USB and Bluetooth connection, plus multiple USB charging points installed. Bessie also has two 3-pin plug sockets, which work on full electric hook-up.

Body and underneath in good condition – an area underneath has just been welded to support getting through the MOT.

Both front seats have captain style bases to allow rotation to connect to the rear seats. Bessie also comes with two tables, with fixtures for this being at the front (between the two front seats) and in the middle.

Current orientation is two individual rear seats that convert to two single beds. There is a method to make this a double too, however a little trickier to create. There is also a double bed above created via the upper bed boards in the mid-top roof.
All interior is original, rare Holdsworth Variety layout.

We have a full set of thermal blinds for all windows in the van, with curtains. The van will also come with a gas bottle, that will require filling up before using as the last bit we had was used up on our final trip in June. Also comes with a full cover to protect from extreme weather conditions.

The van also comes with a Fiamma Bike Rack, specific for VW Transporters, and a trickle battery charging system to ensure battery life is maintained, even if it’s stood on a driveaway for a while.
