Renault Master 2.5 dci 6sp
This is a Renault Master with was formerly part of Scottish Ambulances. The van has been regularly serviced and although it has 200k, still drives quite smooth, with no knocks, no noises, and certainly much better that what you would spect for the milage. The suspension does not make any noises and there are no other unexpected nocking or squeaky sounds, even when you go trough potholes.
It has a long MOT until summer next year for peace of mind.
The engine is a 2.5 l dci 100 hp with 6 speed, which moves the van perfectly as the conversion is very light. We normally do more than 35 mpg with it.
As mentioned before the engine is in excellent shape. It is a first starter, and although it can be noisy while accelerating (These van does not have much sound insulation) once you get it to cruising speed is quieter.
As you can see on the photos it has an external spare wheel, no rust, and all weather tyres.
Also it has air rear suspension, which makes the ride quite smooth and eliminates the “purposing” of normally sprung vans.
The van is clearly designed for only two people, with two travel seats.
It does not have electric windows, but it does have remote locks, which is always very handy.
The van is rust free, with panels in excellent condition, except for a couple of scratches on the lower part just before the rear wheels. Apparently a very common thing with these Masters as they have a longer wheelbase that normal vans this size.
The van is 6 m long, which is cheaper if you want to get it on a ferry.
The van has a carpet and plywood interior which makes it quite cosy.
There is a Eberspacher diesel heater , which with the full insulation, makes the van quite cosy and warm when needed. It has a curtain behind the front seats for when you want privacy and curtains on all windows, included the rear doors. It has also been professionally carpeted on the areas where the metal should be exposed so there are no cold surfaces. Even the roof has been treated and insulated.
The furniture is mixed between thin wood and plywood, It has a working sink with fresh and grey water portable tanks and a two burner stove. As well as a 12v/220v portable fridge. We have decided to go for a portable one, because it can be easily taken to the beach or anywhere when needed for a picnic or a barbecue. It is silent and does the job with a capacity of 40l.
You have a kitchen area behind the driver seat with the sink, hob, and two door furniture for storage and water tanks. And above two door units and a third open one, which led lighting for the kitchen area. You also have the control for the led lights, battery indicator, solar controller, usb, 12v, and 220v for mains.
Next to that is an u-shape sitting area with a Lagun swivel table, very easy to operate and sturdy. Underneath the main bench is storage space and the gas tank. ON the left area of the u shape is the portable fridge and on the right area is a Thetford 165 portable potti. Please note that the potti is brand new and has never been used. Then at the rear you have the double transverse bed with an open shelve mounted on the ceiling on one side and door cabinets on the other. You have several spot, strip and indirect lighting as well as a double usb next to the bed
At the rear you have a massive storage area underneath the bead where you store anything you need, but you also have a portable shower that is connected to the rear of the van, has a 25l tank, and a portable screen if you want to have some additional privacy.
The van also has a small solar panel 50w, which can be extended if needed and an additional 100Amps Leisure battery that sits behind the driver, and is completely encased for additional safety.
The van will be handled with a gas certificate.
The van has a double transverse bed.
