Vehicle Description

This is a lovely little campervan that I will genuinely feel sorry to see go but due to another Grandchild now being old enough to go away with us the time has come to upgrade to a bigger one, which we have done so sadly this one has to go.

We have owned her for nearly 3 years and it has never once let us down, we have brilliant memories from travelling all over the UK in it – Scotland, Cornwall, Norfolk, Yorkshire, The Lakes, Peak District, Northumberland etc, we ourselves have done nearly 50K miles in her.

If your interested in how much we’ve enjoyed this van just have a look at my Facebook profile and you will see hundreds of photos of our various trips.

Anyway, enough of the background, the van …..

Its 2008 with a 2.2 engine and has done over 200K miles, don’t let that put you off though, as above we’ve never had any issues and we’ve done nearly 50K of those miles !!

She’s been very well looked after by a local garage so there’s plenty of life left in her yet.

Your welcome to get any inspections done, ie, AA, RAC etc, or if local I’ll take it into a garage of your choice for them to check it over, obviously I’ll also take you out in it so you can see how well she runs.

She was MOT’d in May with only minor advisories, BTW, the registration has just been changed back to its original as I had a private plate on it so some car checking sites aren’t yet up to date with her history, the gov.uk site is though.

She’s in amazing condition for her age but does have some age related knocks and scratches, there’s also some bubbling around the rear wheel arches which I have been meaning to get round to sorting but have just touched up in the meantime.

Has leather seats all round, although the drivers seat has a tear in it – cant see it when I’m sat on it so haven’t got round to getting it repaired yet !!

All windows are blacked out so you can see out but not in, off side window has small opening section.

She’s had various accessories fitted, which will stay with her;

Genuine Mercedes Roof box, not sure of the capacity but it takes some filling … can be removed in 5 minutes if need be.

Has a spoiler fitted on the back, couple of small cracks in the paintwork but easily fixed with a bit of filler, again, time permitting I’d have done it myself.

Erisson android head unit, wifi compatible and once connected to your phones hot spot will play live TV, videos, Youtube, Netflix etc.

Dashtop unit display console that shows speed, revs, distances and loads more.

Reversing camera which is located in the number plate area and displays on a rear view mirror, switched on via a separate switch.

Tyrepal system fitted, real time monitoring of the tyre pressure on all 4 wheels via a dash mounted screen.

She has clumber style running boards fitted, not only do these look good they are very handy for getting in and out of the van.

There is front and rear chrome “nudge” bars, the rear one needs adjusting as the bracket broke and a temporary one has been fitted.

She has a Thatcham approved alarm professionally fitted along with the standard factory fitted immobiliser.

Also included is the “Fortress” steering wheel lock, one of the best steering wheel locks around, and a brake pedal lock that obviously fits over the brake pedal to further immobilise the van.

The interior consists of various cupboards, a hob and sink, a 2 way fridge (12V / 240V), a stand alone shelf has been fitted above the door that gives some handy extra storage.

(The fridge needs a new catch at the bottom as it broke so the fridge needs to be wedged close while on the move)

Both side doors open although obviously because of the cupboards only one can be entered through !!

Handy though when its hot to open both to get a nice draft going through.

We’ve had a 2K diesel heater professionally fitted, this is piped directly into the diesel tank so no nasty fuel smells to worry about, takes about 2 minutes to fully heat the interior.

There is a rock and roll bed with 2 seat-belted seats, easy to set up and put away and very comfortable. there’s also a blow up slim profile mattress included that allows you to set the comfort level you want.

Behind the rock and roll bed I’ve fitted a clothes rail which is handy for hanging clothes.

The front seats both swivel round to give extra space when pitched up and there is a removable table that can be adjusted to sit anywhere along the interior.

Every window has got black out curtains fitted, there’s also a full height blackout curtain between the cab area and living area – when these are up and closed it really is pitch black inside.

There is also a black out cover for the front windows which go on the outside if anyone is using the front seat bed, or if you just want an extra bit of privacy.

Obviously its got an electrical hook up for when on sites but all interior LED lights, water and fridge also works off 12V, we’ve never really wild-camped as such with the longest we’ve been “off grid” being 2 days but the battery easily coped (its only about a year old and is an A Grade capacity)

From a sleeping point of view its classed as 2 berth, HOWEVER, I have adapted a camp-bed to fit between the 2 front seats which makes a great little single bed, our 7 year old Grandson is a big lad and he is very comfortable on it, in fact I’d say a small adult could probably fit if need be.

Also comes with a blow up awning, bit fiddly to put up at first but once your used to it takes about 20 minutes.

Will also include a heavy duty, extra long hook up cable.

There’s probably loads more I haven’t thought of yet so I’ll update as and when, or feel free to message me, van is available for viewing just about any time as I work from home so I’m usually in.
