Mercedes Sprinter MWB
It’s a 20 year old sprinter and unfortunately they do have problems with rust. I had welding done a year and a half ago on the driver’s door sill and structurally there wasn’t any more problems. The side door needs replacing really and there is a few patches that need doing. I have nowhere to park it otherwise I would just slowly work on it which is what it needs really.
Just last week as we were getting it ready to sell we noticed a ticking in the engine and discovered the injector seal has gone. The cost of replacing this and potentially a new injector (unknown whether the injector has gone too until you look inside – £350-£650) has been taken off the price as I am imagining that whoever buys it will either want to work on it themselves or take it to a garage so they can get to know it. It still runs but I wouldn’t advise taking it on a long journey until that is done. MOT is until 13th July.
This is a lovely unique van conversion that has 5 belted seats and could potentially sleep 5 too. This has been an amazing family campervan and is waiting to be taken on some more adventures! We just had it fully serviced and took it on a two week tour of 1500+ miles round Scotland as a family of four and it didn’t miss a beat. It is a converted riot van that has done less than 140000 miles and the double axis at the back means you can take it just about anywhere. We’ve happily parked up at muddy festivals and never had a problem getting out. Work done over the last two and a half years includes all spark plugs, alternator, and replacing of both batteries.
I’ll happily answer any questions and will pass on as much info as I can as I want you to know what you are getting. It’s a great van that we are going to miss and still has has plenty of life in it. The engine should go another 100k really. It obviously needs a bit of work so the price reflects that.
The seats at the back change into a large double which can sleep two adults comfortably and has often had at least another child there too! The table in the middle makes another single bed and we used the cab for another bed aswell.
