5-Berth OffGrid 2018 Transit

Greetings Campervan seeker.
Here we have a rarity… a 5-berth off-grid hand built camper that can sleep 5 people (or 6 if required with a slight modification to the upper bed).

It’s challenging to create a Campervan space that feels good to be in and spacious but also transports and sleep 5-6 peeps. I’m pleased with this creation and the balance it offers to open up off-grid camper life to either a family or couple with friends that wish to jump aboard!

The conversion is brand new and never been used. All components are out the box apart from the seatbelted seats which were from a minibus.

It’s fully off-grid and has a Fogstar Lithium battery connected to 420w solar panel and a Victron DC-DC charger which charges up the battery when driving.

Cheeky kitchen unit with 2-ring gas hob, deep sink with cold water supply. Worktop has fold out extension for food organisation and prep.

Plenty of USBcharge points / LED dimmable lights / 1000w Inverter to provide 230v plug power.
45litre Alpicool compressor chest fridge inside one of the benches – leave it on day and night fully off-grid with zero drops in power.

Storage lockers / storage above cab / storage in some benches plus small garage area at rear. 44litre water tank and full gas bottle stored in the rear area so easy to remove/refill.

Solid oak table around 3 seatbelted seats plus more seating in the rear area offers two different social / chilling spaces providing the feeling of space.

Big tinted side window plus smaller tinted window with opening section and flyscreen for cooking / airflow

The mattresses are brand new and all the bench upholstery specially made for this camper.

Most importantly it feels a great space to hang out in with a good sociable and functional layout with intelligent design especially around seating and beds. Many converters overlook the key component of having a good place to sit, hang out, look out the window or socialise – this conversion has that without sacrificing functionality.

Base van is 5 and a half years so has the gadgetry and mpg you’d expect from a newer van. Cab is quiet and well insulated and all intact but the seats have a few marks (just being fully transparent). The van started out under ownership of a sign company so that’s where the seat marks have come from. However it has had a full timing belt service in September with water pump + an extra oil and filter service in March 2025 + full diagnostic and will come with new 12 Months MOT so mechanically sound and serviced for new owner and ready for adventures.
