We have done about 18,000 miles through both Northern and Southern Europe – getting into the Artic Circle in Norway was definitely a highlight. It is a modern van which can chew up the miles at 80mph on the motorway but then is a cosy home when you get to your destination.
The conversion was done in 2020 by Rustic Campers https://www.rusticcampers.co.uk/
The aim was to create a simple van and a wonderful low key space. The key items are:
Bespoke leather swivel seats
Dometic CRX50 fridge with small freezer compartment
Bolton 4500 gas cooker and hob (hardly used – mostly cooked outside)
Propex HS 2000 gas heater
A reclaimed sink and low maintenace tap operated by footpump from a removable water cannister
12v lighting including reading lights
2 Rhino roof bars
SmartSolar MPPT 100 20 and two leisure batteries
Seperate Victron charger for charging when connected to 240v
310 watt solar panel
Canvas awning which slides on to the van like a sail
Wooden awning poles
Proper rope guys
135x187cm bed which can be left permanently made and will works if you are on the tall side
