Adventure van | lots of storage for adventure kit | fully insulated | off grid | 102500miles | Renault trafic | 2014

We converted this van in April 2024 for a long summer trip to the alps. The van was perfect for this trip and for many weekend trips since.

The van is fully insulated and wood paneled for a cosy feel.

We designed the van around being able to take as much adventure kit as possible, while not wanting to have a huge vehicle, so there is a surprising amount of storage in this compact van for bouldering mats, skis, bikes, running kit etc.

The floor is raised with a huge underfloor storage space accessible from the rear, we used this to fit Moon Saturn bouldering pad. Skis etc. fit nicely in this space. There is a massive pull out drawer accessible from the side door which we filled with ropes, running shoes, helmets, etc. Under the cabinet is also ample space for a couple of camping chairs. There is a bike rack fitted on the rear doors.

We used 2 bouldering mats as cushions for the sofa, one has been cut slightly to fit the curve of the van – and we would be happy to include these in the van sale. This pulls out to a full size double bed to comfortably sleep two adults. Under the bed are three large drawers for storage and there is further storage behind the bed and a bookcase.

The hob and gas are not fixed to the van, allowing al fresco cooking when the weather allows. Or it can be placed on the pull down table which also acts as the door to the pantry. There is a 15l water container.

The van has a leisure battery, solar panel, voltage sensing relay, inverter, Led lights, plug in cool box and plenty of USB ports.

The van has a roof rack which a roof box could be attached to if required.

There are three belted seats in the front.
