Comes with a useful handbook with pictures to help get used to the various aspects of vanlife. It fits in a supermarket parking bay.

We built this van, our fourth, to travel for three months around Europe in 2022. We went to France, Italy, Austria and Germany in Astrid and it really worked well from 2 degrees in Scotland to 36 in Italy, we even managed to fit all our kayaking gear in the boot area. Since that trip we have used it in France and around the UK.

We have gone 6 days without hookup running the fridge, lights, a low watt cooker, coffee machine and fan, plus charging phones, ipads etc.

This was the biggest van we could get in our drive and so we needed a way to make a full size bed and enough seating fit in it, hence the gas strut idea, which we are really happy with.
The double bed is on gas struts so no messing about with cushions and making the bed each night, just lift the bed and you have a seating area below.

Truma water heater can use EHU or gas. Takes around 15 mins to heat.

We have run Astrid for over a year without gas, but the gas bottles can be supplied with it if required.
