We’ve just come back from 3 months travelling around Belgium/Holland/Germany/Poland/Lithuania
Slovakia/Hungary/Croatia/Slovenia/Austria and France – and the van did great.
I never take it much over 50mph – economy and safety really.
Most of the bodywork is basically sound but there are a couple of issues around the drivers
door and to a lesser degree, the passenger door.
Also there are a number of small superficial spots where the paint is peeling off here and there. (The van was originally blue but was painted green by hand (and roller) by the previous owner)
The side door only locks from the inside and the passenger door won’t open from the outside.
Driver’s door is fine. I’m sure the door locking issues are fixable to some one with the time.
It’s quite heart breaking selling it really as we’ve had such an amazing time in it (Spain and Portugal before
lockdown) but we’re not going to be travelling probably until 2024 now so it would be such
a waste just sitting somewhere, rusting away.
There is a bench down one side of the van with storage underneath, including the leisure battery and inverter and MT50 meter.
A woodburning heater, fully insulated, next to that. and beyond that there is a double bed at the back.
The double bed converts really easily into a table with two 2 seater benches on either side.
On the other side of the van, down from the bed is a small worktop with shelving underneath followed by
a gas cooker with a two ring hob, grill and oven. Then comes a sink with a tap connected to a water tank and electric pump and a draining board with cupboards
underneath.
the rest of the space towards the side door and cab is a large work top with more cupboard space underneath.
There are also two large shelving units purpose built to fit the contours of the interior.
The whole thing is done using good solid wood – apart from the burner which is, of course metal.
The flooring is corked with underlay.
There is electric hook up and 2 x 100w solar panels on the roof and 2 sky lights.
A gas cooker with a two ring hob, grill and oven comes after the small worktop.
Magnetic curtains throughout.
one double bed and a single bench bed
