Renault Trafic (2012)
2.0 dCi SL29 eco Panel Van 5dr Diesel Manual L1 H1 (Phase 3) (180 g/km, 115 bhp)
Beautifully converted Renault Trafic.
The van has had multiple updates over the last four years (all invoices are available):
– new timing chain (2021)
– new suspension (2023)
– new alternator (Jan 2024)
– new radio (2021)
– new sliding door hinge (2023)
– new injectors (2021)
– new head gasket (2021)
– new battery (2023)
Drives very well, a few scratches on the exterior as is expected of a van this age but nothing significant.
Converted professionally by crafty otter campers in 2020 (https://www.instagram.com/craftyottercampers?igsh=MTRzZmlxMm4wZDRheQ==). I’ve used the van a lot over the last four years all over the UK and occasionally Europe for hiking and climbing trips. The layout works really well and the van stays super warm and cosy despite getting into the minus numbers but also stays super cool in the summer. I bought Mushu in 2020 for myself and my dog and I’ve had countless adventures over the last 4 years and it’ll be emotional to say goodbye! The van is cosy, beautifully converted and perfect for 1 or 2 people (and their dogs!).
All the furniture is made of solid wood and is very sturdy. The camper has lots of storage in the living area including two drawers above the bed we use for clothing, a space for a toilet underneath the bed, and a space we currently use for a dog. Under the bed at the back there are three large storage draws. Big enough to fit lots of shoes, hiking and climbing gear etc. We also keep the gas canister under the bed. Mushu has a double bed (shorter than the standard bed), made of memory foam and very comfy. The kitchen area has two gas hobs, sink and tap and lots of storage underneath for water and food with a upper shelf for cutlery, plates etc.
There is a movable table that can be slotted in the living area (though the stand for this could do with a little tlc but it would be very easy to make it sturdier) and the front passenger seats turn round to make it a excellent place for eating/playing board games!
I’ve had a great deal of mechanical work done over the last four years with almost everything replaced or upgraded. So despite having 160k mileage, the inner workings of Mushu are essentially new! Happy to show all the invoices of everything that’s been done so the new owners have peace of mind.
