Mercedes 310D
Our vintage cherry red Mercedes fire engine really is one of a kind, and has been lovingly restored to its former glory.
It came from the Highlands and Islands Fire Service on Orkney, hence its extremely low mileage- only 23, 600 miles!
Since leaving the fire service it has been used for fair days, children’s events, camping and picnics.
The amber beacon and sirens are fully functioning, and as with everything else it has been immaculately restored and kept. With historical Fire Service log book.
The original ‘firemen’s bench’ seating is intact behind the driver and passenger seats with 3 working seatbelts (5 in all).
This is a very reluctant sale and our wish is for it to go to a new home that will really appreciate it.
From February 2024 it will be classed as a classic vehicle and therefore road tax exempt.
It has been regularly serviced, and MOT’d until the beginning of 2024, and any advisories repaired. It has also recently had 4 brand new high performance Grenlander tyres fitted and balanced.
It would be a wonderful van for someone who wants to kit it out their own way, cyclists, adventurers, musicians, people with imagination, the list goes on!
