Ford Transit
This Van comes with a completely clean MOT (No advisories) until March 2025. It has been regularly serviced in all the time we’ve owned it. It has never let us down, it is a very reliable vehicle and has surprisingly good fuel economy for its size. A trip from Canterbury to Berwick-Upon-Tweed on the Scottish Border is about £60 at current fuel prices which is better than my petrol car can achieve!

We’ve absolutely loved this van in the time we’ve owned it and we’ll be very sad to see it go. Alas we need to free up some money for a home that doesn’t move.
The van is designed to be completely stealth, while this sacrifices some windows once inside it is warm, cosy, comfortable and quiet whether parked in the middle of nowhere or on a layby. We have never been bothered in this van, from outside it is only recognisable as a work van. The conversion was completed before DVLA rule changes and so is recognised as a motorcaravan in the V5C despite having no externally recognisable features.
The interior was handbuilt largely reclaimed wood. The original converters lived in it for a year and used to enjoy skiing in the Alps and so it has been designed with long term living and cold temperatures in mind. It is very well-insulated and has lots of storage space.
I have fully rewired the van this year with off-grid online work in mind, it has a a 4G router built-in, as well as a 90W USB PD port next to the desk area.
The lights are dimmable via a remote control. The fan can either ventilate or extract and is also controllable via remote.
It has a large electric coolbox-style fridge that can run on either 12v or 240V.
Although I have not fitted an inverter I did make a compartment for one and it could easily be fitted. The van is currently equipped with two 110ah AGM leisure batteries. There is space for up to 6 if you feel you need more power.
It is equipped with a large 100L water tank for extended trips.
The small cassette toilet stows neatly away.
There is an external shower perfect for washing your feet when coming back in from the beach.
Please note: In some photos, wood panelling can be seen on the back doors, this has recently been changed to carpet as the weight was occasionally causing some problems with the lock sensor.
The van has a full-sized double bed. The sofa pulls out to make the bed, which runs length ways rather than horizontally. Combined with the high ceilings, very few people would feel too tall for this van. The table and wardrobe were designed to work with the bed pulled out, so need need to pack it away if you don’t want to.

Quirky loves this style means that Quirky Campers would potentially approve this vehicle for hiring. However, Quirky have not approved a Gas Safe certificate, a Weighbridge certificate, or the vehicle's electrics. Buyers must check these themselves. For some tips on what to look out for read this. If the listing has no Gas Safe certificate, no unladen weight and no electrical sign-off please proceed with caution!
