This is a gorgeous, homely converted van and runs very smoothly. We have travelled in this van around Europe during the past few months and are returning to Australia to go back to “normal life”, and are therefore regretfully selling this home on wheels.
It has an MOT until 12th March 2025, with all advisories taken care of. Full service history available. The van has been inspected by a mechanic when we purchased it prior to our trip.
From 2020 onwards it has had the following parts replaced:
Clutch
Gearbox
Flywheel
4 x brake pads and disks
Rear brake callipers
4 x new tires in 2024
Fuel pump
Windscreen washer motor and pump
Starter battery
Ignition barrel.
This means that many of the major wear and tear issues that you would expect in a vehicle of this mileage have already been taken care of. As a result, it drives beautifully.
The van is 5.5 metres long and 2.5 metres high and boasts a full double bed. This makes it easy to stand up in for most adults and roomy enough inside, while still being short enough to be easily manoeuvrable.
It has three comfortable seats and a bright, roomy cab with great visibility. It has ice-cold air conditioning and toasty cab heating.
It drives very smoothly and its 2.3L diesel engine means it has plenty of power. Bodywork is in good condition, in line with age. We have recently had all underbody rust sanded and treated (which was one of the advisories on the 2024 MOT).
The conversion was completed by the van’s second owner, an apprentice carpenter – it is decked out in light wood which has been fitted to a high standard and gives the van a cosy, cabin-like feel.
