Beautiful, newly converted, off grid, Euro 6 Campervan

A beautiful, light and airy conversion using poplar, pine, birch ply and a stunning full stave Ash worktop. The electrical set up in particular is incredibly functional and most importantly safe. The van is completely off grid and also has a mains battery charger so you can go to a campsite, get charged up, then be back off grid again in no time. My wife and I travelled around Spain for 9 months with our then newborn baby in our self-converted campervan back in 2018. I am confident with this past vanlife experience of being able to provide you with a comfortable and practical campervan when out on the open road. This is now my 5th conversion and with the help of my father who is a 40 year qualified electrician we have created a stunning, unique campervan guaranteed to get some admiring words off anyone who sees it. I have only ever converted this type of vehicle (Relay, Boxer) so have good experience with what to look for especially when buying the base vehicle. This van was from a Yamaha dealership in Belfast and was used to transport motorbikes for one way deliveries.

The van is ULEZ compliant with the must have Euro 6 engine. More and more towns and cities across the UK and Europe will be under tighter restrictions for diesel vehicles in the next few years. This will also help with the re-sell value if you wish to sell it in the future. A couple who bought one of my previous conversions in 2021 actually sold it on this website for more than they bought it for after a trip to Europe.

Fully insulated with Dodo Super liner 6mm then 25mm Celotex on top of this in the floor and ceiling. Recycled plastic loft insulation on the side panels and in all cavities on top of the super liner.
Full polythene/foil vapor barrier
Treated 25mm x 50mm timber battens on floor and sides
Base floor is 12mm Hardwood Ply
Flooring is the amazing Corka hybrid laminate
Ceiling is custom cut 7mm Pine slats with intergrated LED’s
Worktops are 27mm full stave Ash treated with Osmo oil (Please see pics on Insta!)
Paint is from Earthborne paints (Eco friendly and virtually VOC free)

Living space

Spacious L-shaped sofa for wonderful views out of the sliding door/window. Perfect for remote working/relaxing.
Warm LED strip light recessed underneath the shelf for reading/working which creates a great ambience in the evening.

Hot water and heating is by a Truma Combi D4E which runs on diesel and electric. This is an amazing bit of kit which is perfect for off grid living. LPG filling points are decreasing across europe and diesel is a much more accessible source for staying off grid. There are four hot air outlets, 3 in the living space to keep it toasty and one into the front cab for maximum heat retention.

There is a thermostatic shower valve at the rear under the bed which can be used for a warm, external shower al fresco and free! You can of course turn this into a private, enclosed shower if you want.

CTEK – D250SE smart charge controller (also charges leisure battery when driving)

Front and rear exterior LED lighting (12v) – perfect for setting up camp in the dark!
2 x LED strip lights recessed in the slats which can be controlled individually
2 x Reading bed light with USB’s (12v)
USB and new c-type charging point and voltmeter

Please note due to this being a brand new conversion many of the appliances/batteries will have at least a one/two year warranty. If you are wishing to go travelling with your four legged friend a simple gate can be retrofitted under the bed which I did for my last conversion which worked really well.
