Carefully and thoroughly insulated using a combination of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), expanding insulation foam and reflective foil. It was then covered with ply lining and again with pine cladding.
115Ah leisure battery in leisure battery box with a breather tube that runs out underneath the van. There is a basic 12V electrical system which includes: LED spotlights, 12V tap and 2 12V plug sockets. This is all connected to a zig unit so the battery can be carefully monitored. For 240V appliances there is a small inverter cable. Currently no mains hook up but a split charge relay has been fitted so the leisure battery charges as you drive.
