Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

Mavis drives between Argyll and Edinburgh frequently and can likely be viewed at either – although Dalmally is preferable during school holidays.

Mavis has been our family camper and only last week we were up on Skye with her while one of us ran the half marathon. She drives like a dream, we all sleep better in Mavis than anywhere else and the dogs, when they see their door open, leap in with such excitement. They just Know its beach time (even if in actual fact we are off to Tesco in Oban we do always stop at the beach on the way home )…

Grey diesel 2298cc Renault Master B-Ness + Energy DC1 campervan
Registered November 2016, age 6
ULEZ compliant
Taxed until 1 September 2023
MOT until 8 September 2023
2 berths, 3 belted seats

Mavis is an off grid van converted by well known Rustic Simplicity (who converted Quirky Campers owners van, what better recommendation can I give !).
She is fully lined, has 2 solar panels, all her cupboards are made from recycled whisky barrels and I am sure this is what makes us sleep so well!
She has a beautiful china sink, fridge with tiny freezer compartment, 2 solar panels, many USB points, twinkly fairy lights as well as lights under the top cupboards, by the side opening door and by the bed. She has a Thetford gas hob and grill

She also has a brilliant cupboard which nicks a bit of the foot end of the mattress but has been essential for hanging wetsuits, wet coats, dog towels and wellies. She has a 170 cm long mattress double mattress in a space 190 cm long (ie 20cm is mattress extension panel – see photo if this isn’t described very well)

There is a huge area under the raised bed where our 2 dogs have their bed as well as the cabinet that houses the propane gas tank. There is a separate back area next to the dogs where I keep outdoor chairs, portable loo, bbq, etc –

The front passenger seat swivels and there are 2 tables, one folds up by the sink and is perfect for laptop working – and the other one is removable and clips into the floor by the side opening door. This rectangular table top can face either way.

Conversion Description

Converted by Rustic Simplicity to their professional exacting standards in 2021

I have put maximum weight 2800 above and included a photo of the information from the panel in the drivers door of the van, as I may have got this wrong – please let me know !

I also have many lights in Mavis but I don’t know which box to tick, I think they all work from the solar. I don’t have electric hook up. Maybe I have a split charger….. I can check with Rustic Simplicity!

Please ask any questions and I can do a video call round Mavis with you to answer any questions (hopefully!)

Beds Description
