Annie was converted in 2021 and is the perfect two berth camper. The van drives really well and has been kept in very good condition. It was serviced in June 2023 and had all four tyres newly fitted at the end of September 2023. There was a new clutch and gearbox fitted in May 2022. We took Annie on a three month trip around Europe in summer 2023. It is a great size for a road trip anywhere – there is plenty of built in storage so you’ll never struggle for space. The high roof means you can stand up fully inside and even though it is a LWB, it can still fit along smaller roads and in a normal car parking space with no trouble.
Base conversion: Insulated with Dodomat Thermo Fleece which is made from recycled plastic bottles, along with Dodomat Thermo Liner to provide extremely good quality insulation while still being conscious of the impact on the environment. It is fitted with 2 tinted windows (sliding door window can be opened), and a roof vent above the cooking area. Good quality Plywood used for the full build throughout the van.
Kitchen: 12v Electric Coolbox which has proved more than sufficient for our needs and can run off the leisure battery for several hours with no issues. We use portable camping stoves, which we have found are most flexible, but there is also plenty of space for a two ring camping stove – which would allow you to cook both inside and outside. Plenty of storage for items in the cupboards and drawers, plus the little shelves fitted above the worktop. There is a lovely large sink which can hold a couple of meals worth of washing up if you need it to!
Dining/Work Area: Annie has an L shaped sofa with an island table which can seat 3 comfortably or a snug 4. There is storage underneath the sofa which can be used for camping equipment, duvets or a port-a-potti. There is more storage at the back of the van underneath the short side of the ‘L’ sofa, which is accessible when you open the back doors. It also has a large cupboard/wardrobe alongside the bed with shelves. There are hooks for coats on the back of the wardrobe.
Bed setup: The L shaped sofa slides out and the table top is used to create a small double bed.
Electrics: Annie is fully kitted out for off grid adventures with a large leisure battery, solar panel and split charger, so that we can also charge the leisure battery while driving. There are 4 USB ports located throughout the van along with LED spotlights and fairy lights. The control panel with the monitors and switches is located within easy reach of the bed.
Water: Water is provided through the stylish black tap into a large sink via an electric water pump. Fresh and grey water tanks are accessed from under the sink and are both 25L which we found was enough to last us several days.
