This compact conversion has just about everything you could need. There has been a great deal of thought put into the design and functionality, making it a comfortable and stylish space to spend time. The technical set up of the van has been designed for long term travel and the electrics will sustain full time off grid all year around. The 12 volt set up allows you to charge phone, laptop, speakers, iPad etc.
The Wallas stove provides cooking on a double hob and when the lid is closed it becomes an air heater which is which is incredibly efficient so the van is usable all year round (even in sub zero temperatues). The Wallas runs on diesel which comes from the main fuel tank. There are many benefits to being gas free; no need for an annual safety certificate if you want to rent it out as a business, no risk of carbon monoxide or naked flames, and if you are traveling abroad there are no issues with gas bottle connector compatibility.
There is lots of storage in the units, there is a large area for clothes storage under the bench, and the cassette toilet can be removed to provide more storage space. The storage over the bulkhead will store a double duvet, pillows and blankets. The kitchen is well equipt, everything has been curated to fit perfectly and will be sold with the van, I will list a full breakdown of items on request.
The requirements for the conversion were a ULEZ compliant van, that could also be used as an every day vehicle and park in a regular car parking space, wheel base length to accommodate a full length bed, high roof. This van is also very economical on fuel which keeps the cost down when doing some longer trips away.
The standard of finish and attention to detail on this conversion is quite special. The units and worktops are bespoke, hand built out of solid ash by Manolo Studio. The sink is hidden making the whole countertop usable when it’s not being used. The clever system means it’s very lightweight and storage is very versatile and avoiding cabinet doors which are restrictive in a small space. The skylight in another great feature, it floods the space with plenty of light and opens fully for ventilation, it is a yacht hatch and gives a much slicker finish than the plastic caravan/van conversion ones.
This would make a perfect rental. The unladen weight is verified, there is no need for a gas safety certificate so all of the official requirements are in place. The van comes with everything you could possibly need and ready to go!
The double bed sleeps 2 adults (6’3 and 5’11 very comfortably) The fixed bench extends using a platform system that is very easy to use, the length of the bed is over 6’7. It extends is 2 sections so you can also set up as ‘L’ shape seating which is great for lounging. The mattress is high grade foam, upholstered in removable and washable covers.
