After an 8-month trip across Europe in our beloved van, the space is becoming a bit small for us with our one-year-old daughter. So after some thinking we have decided to sell the van and keep the daughter. This van has been our home from Northern England in the winter to Southern France in summer, from negative temperatures in January to 40+ degrees in July. It definitely passed the baby test and has provided a cosy shelter on wheels for our family.
The van is a L3H2 Peugeot Boxer from 2016 with 51,300 miles on the clock. Bespoke conversion finished in the summer of 2021. We are the first owners after the one who actually converted it and we had the electrics and the gas checked by a professional converter when we bought it. The van is quite self-sustained and suitable for off-grid living as well as camp sites. Our power needs have been fully met by solar and we never actually used the camping extension cable that we had with us. We used very little gas (to cook) and diesel (to heat the van in the winter). The insulation kept us comfortable in the colder part of the year, while the fan kept some nice air circulation during the heat waves. We needed to fill in the water once every few days or so, which meant it was always fresh. The van has so much storage that we had no problem fitting the belongings of three people in it. The white colour and the four windows in the living area of the van allow for plenty of natural light and open the space.
