Beryl started life as a disabled passenger transport, and back in 2017 was lovingly transformed into a luxury, hi-tech camper van by us both. Since then she’s been all over the UK: from the heights of the Scottish Highlands; right down to the beaches of Cornwall. She’s given us incredible memories.
As a passenger transport vehicle, Beryl had low-impact driving, and excellent ongoing maintenance. She’s just had a major service before going to a new home, including new brakes and tyres, a full engine flush and new filters, and an MOT in the last week. She’s a dream to drive being an automatic. Visibility is great thanks to plenty of windows and 2 reversing cameras. And getting there is a breeze thanks to new leather captain chairs and an all-singing entertainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and DAB radio.
Inside there’s attention to detail with purpose built cupboards, a convertible table to double bed, roll up linen blinds and leather handles. All of this has just had an update along with a fresh paint so she’s ready to go to her new home. She’s also really configurable, you can have the table in the rear, sitting in the front with the captains chairs, or even outside. There are also Unwin rails throughout the front so if you did want to fit some additional belted, fully secured seats for a bigger family, this would be super easy, (there’s space to have belted seats for up to 6 if you needed).
It’s been important for us to have an easy to live in van, so we have installed hot water, toilet, a powerful shower, plenty of storage, solar panels, oven, gas hob, fridge (including a freezer shelf). It’s also easy to travel for long periods of time, or even work in her thanks to the tech: a pop-up TV, in-built WiFi with aerial, and loads of USB and USB-C charging points throughout. Thanks to the solar, water tank and large underslung LPG tank, we’ve been off-grid for days on end easily.
