This Conversion was a true labor of love. I left my Job last year and dedicated my summer to doing this conversion as I was moving to Scotland to do a design course. Throughout the course I lived in this van and it served me very well. I continued to tinker on small bits in the van that I noticed could be better. Therefore I feel like I have snagged any of the things that might become an annoyance. I took the van on several trips through the year and can confidently say that it held up incredibly well. There were several very bad storms this year in Scotland and I am happy to say that through cold and wet the van was able to stay warm and dry.
Having grown up in the countryside my whole life I wanted the van to feel not only cosy but like it had a real injection of character. With this in mind I decide to include many pieces of antique or re-claimed timber; such as the pull out table top, the kitchen counter top as well as the brass sink and retro VW gas hob. This also led to the decision on the colour way and the decision to have a traditional turned english walnut foot rail for the bed
