This conversion has been completed to the highest standard with no expense spared. With the layout meticulously planned & executed with countless hours of sketching & using CAD, this van is the perfect excuse to travel to all the places you’ve dreamed of going to.
Off-grid & summer-ready, this van is a luxury home-from-home with a clean, contemporary kitchen including a Dometic fridge/freezer and a hand-made brushed steel sink & mixer tap.
Quality and durability are hugely important to me. I chose bamboo as the main material as it possesses some of the best stiffness/strength characteristics, and strength-to-weight ratios of any woody material on the planet. It also looks unique with its beautiful grain running seamlessly throughout the build.
The Walas Diesel Oven/Hob/combination with a blower (Heater) which feeds from the vehicle diesel tank was the best option as it’s multifunctional design means it saves space with zero compromises on functionality, all while maintaining a beautiful & sleek aesthetic. This creates a space that does not face the usual limitations of typical van life, providing endless possibilities when it comes to creating delicious meals all in the comfort of your own home on wheels.
This van brings together the ultimate must-haves with the luxury of a walk-in fibreglass shower (so means no leaking joints!) & a tambour sliding door that brings privacy to the space. The van is also equipped with LED lighting running across the length of the vehicle (with double sockets/charging ports) creating a cosy, soft ambience. There are two large tinted windows on the rear doors and two smaller, thin windows (which can be opened) positioned higher on either side of the bed making for a private space to de-wind at the end of a long day of adventure! (all have blackout curtains)
With practicality in mind, I incorporated as much storage as possible, with a large birch ply ‘garage’ area which can be accessed via the back doors. This not only holds enough room for a couple of bikes/surfboards or large storage boxes & extra outdoor equipment, but it’s also where the electrics/leisure battery plant/water compartments are stored, which makes it easy to access anytime but isn’t on show.

This van is fitted with Yokohama tyres allowing you to explore off the beaten track & with a 100Ltr over-wheel arch water tank and a bespoke full roof rack with a 380W Solar panel built in flush with holed steel decking (sandblasted/undercoated/powder-coated matt black), you could comfortably live off-grid for multiple days!
