Meet Dorris the Toyota Hiace camper.
I spent 3 months driving around North & South Island, New Zealand before shipping Dorris to the UK. I was so impressed by the reliability of this vehicle plus the undercarriage had been refurbished and protected, I decided this was too much of a find to leave behind, so I brought her home! And does this van turn some heads!
Upon arrival in the UK 2015 she has been mostly garaged and well looked after by a local mechanic who works with classic cars.

This is a factory fitted conversion in New Zealand, as I understand and includes a sturdy pop top roof with side windows and curtains. The electric fittings have recently been upgraded from NZ sockets and USB charging installed. The fridge is new 3 way. To replace the original fridge which recently stopped working.
This is a rare and brilliant seating arrangement and bed configuration. As the Hiace engine sits under the drivers cab so more room is available behind the bulk. The seating is an L shaped bed behind the driver and passenger seats. It easily pulls out sideways, towards the sliding door on the drivers side, making a great sized double bed. A canvas bed allows for either storage and stowing away of bedding and clothes whilst in use or alternatively could sleep a small child or dog.
