Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

The time has finally come to part with our beautiful, converted horsebox.

Due to the size (7.5t), you will need an old license (pre ’97 I think) or a C1 category to drive her.

Specs:
– Mechanically well looked after and MOT’d until January 2023.
– MOT with no advisories!
– Ford Iveco, 1994, 5.8L diesel, 75E15.
– Low mileage: under 93k miles, they can go to 500k quite happily.
– 3 seats in front + 3 legal seatbelts in back, which you can use with a child’s carseat. Adults can also legally travel without seatbelts in the back.
– Chassis and cab sound.
– Recent work done, including: rear brake calliper replaced (offside), replaced exhaust pipe section, new handbrake valve.
– Extensive and thorough recent welding work to cab (both sides, common with these vehicles).

Conversion:
– Fully insulated walls, ceiling, and floor with double sided aluminium bubble wrap, which reduces interstitial condensation.
– Further celotex insulation and lined with ply.
– Beautiful, linseed treated hardwood flooring.
– New sink with (older) foot pump + 12v water pump (electric water pump may need replacing, but we always use the foot one).
– New gas hobs that runs on LPG (can include a canister).
– Shutters / blinds fitted to all windows.
– Double bed in roof + double sofa bed.
– Secured storage: in kitchen, under sofa, and in steps to the top bed.

Benefits:
– Wooden backdoor and extra large window for light.
– Fully functional tilt cab for easy access to engine, they don’t always come with this and it’s very useful for access to work on the engine.
– As part of this, the front panel next to the top bed, lifts up so you can let in more air in warm weather, and sleep next to the stars.
– Categorised as a motor home so cheaper insurance (Class 4).
– Original features of horsebox, which was used for heavy horse timber extraction, still incorporated.

Room for improvement:
– Space to add loo/shower.
– Backdoor door knob needs fitting, but not a security issue as the rear ramp folds up and secures the horsebox.
– Some panels in the driver’s cab need refitting after welding work, not a mechanical issue.

We really hope she goes to a good home who can extend what we’ve started and enjoyed over the last few years <3

Viewings welcome, south Kent.

Beds Description

Bed 1: situated above the cab and accessed by a small ladder, this is a double bed space. With a pulley system you can open the front flap so that you sleep under the starts (great for hot summer nights).

Bed 2: this is a fold out bed – the sofa structure has a pull out with back cushions purpose designed to position into a double bed.

There is space for a cot next to Bed 2 (not included). We also thought about adding hammocks but didn’t get around to it.

Main Bed Length
218cm
