Vehicle Description

MJ is a 4 berth Citroen Relay, with 3 belted seats in the cab and a side facing seat in the middle which I believe is legal to ride in with no seatbelt (please check for yourself).
The van was made to maximise space and features, as such it has a sideways rear double bed above the rear storage which is 6’3″ wide (I am 6ft and I fit easily with room to spare). This bed is 140cm wide and 190cm long. In the front area, there is a L-shaped lounge and large table which also makes up a slightly smaller (180cm x 130cm) but still ample for two adults bed. The rear bed lifts up in the middle to allow the van to be used for transporting large items.

The kitchen has a 3 way fridge which runs off mains hook up, 12V when driving or gas when parked up. There are a number of drawers, a little rack and stowage tray. The kitchen has an attractive splashback and overhead cupboard.
It has a two burner gas hob and sink with hot and cold water.

Above the middle bed is a locker and also the electric controls and fuse box cupboard. Beneath the middle bed is loads of storage and also the diesel heater.

Under the rear bed there are 4 x cubes for easy transport of gear from inside the house to the van. These have extra room behind them and two large stowage lockers underneath.

On the drivers side rear there is the gas bottle cupboard which can also be used for dirty stuff like wellies and shoes. There is a big gap between the rear doors and the back of the bed which is great for stowing fold up chairs, wetsuits or a ladder if you get a roof rack. There is a very large shelf that sits above the 100 Litre water tank which is fitted inside to minimise frost issues. Next to this is another cupboard that provides access to the 12V leisure battery and the gas water heater and pump.

The van has an 1800W inverter with two power sockets with USB’s in the Lounge, additionally there are 2 power sockets with USB’s that run off the mains hook up. There are additional USB A and C chargers on the main control panel which also shows battery voltage. There is also a socket in the rear which runs a Mastervolt battery charger which charges the leisure battery on mains hook up.

The shower is a full size 70 x 70 cm with a low flow aerating shower head running off a conventional mixer bar….. its a great shower say no more. Additionally there is room here to stow your toilet (not included for obvious reasons!) and there is a separate rail for hanging clothes or wetsuits off – think of it as a showerdrobe / airing cupboard.

The van has a huge amount of storage, in addition to the storage mentioned there is also a large over-cab storage are which is great for the front bed bedding when not used.

Above the rear bed there is a big opening skylight with a flyscreen and also block out blind. Above the front bed there is a high power ventilator skylight with a large fan that can either suck or blow air – so this makes a nice circulating airflow inside. It has multiple speeds and can be left on at night on low and is quiet.

In addition to the inside shower there is an outside hot / cold shower which is great for washing off after a surf or dog washing.
Additionally there is a solar charge controller fitted and the cables are terminated on the roof – it just needs a 100W solar panel adding to complete the system.

The Van itself is solid has no rust, it has the usual dings and marks. It had a new clutch 2 years ago along with a new timing chain (have receipts). It drives well and I use it frequently. We did a 500 mile round trip in it two weekends ago.

I will say that in the last couple of weeks the exhaust downpipe has started blowing and will need replacing. These aren’t too expensive to get done.
