Mercedes Vito 113 CDi
Mercedes Vito 2011, 2143cc diesel, 6 speed manual gearbox. Rear wheel drive. Does around 37-40mpg and around 600 miles on a full tank. Engine in very good condition, with full service history. 227,280 miles (will increase slightly as I’m still using it). These are known as million mile engines and it will happily do a lot more! MOT until 24/02/24. I’ve had a pre-sale check done and welcome any inspections.
This was my dad’s company van before I bought it, and before that a plumbers van. It has been well looked after and all necessary repairs done over the years (I have full records of everything). It’s really nice to drive and easy to park. Bodywork is in good condition for it’s age- there are a few small dents that I’ve tried to show on the photos (mainly on the rear doors). Underneath is totally solid. I’ve also undersealed it with Lanoguard to protect against salt and sea spray which I would recommend keeping on top of each winter as it works really well and is easy to do.
I converted this as my first van and have lived in it full time since February, we’ve travelled all over Scotland and Orkney without missing a beat. Although it’s small, I wanted it to be cosy and liveable to cope with all seasons off grid, so it’s been designed with this in mind and is comfortable for year round use- even in Highland winter! I’m reluctantly selling as I’ve decided that long term I’m very happy living in a van but I need something bigger. It would make a lovely first van for someone or a great weekend adventure van.
The bed is big enough to lounge on during the day without needing to put away the bedding every morning. It pulls out another couple of feet for sleeping and comfortably sleeps one (and a dog) even if you’re tall as you can sleep diagonally. I’ve also travelled with a friend for a couple of weeks and it was comfortable but maybe not for two if you’re much taller than me (5’9). The mattress is made from 4 Ikea children’s modular mattress pieces that fit together to make a short but wide double (160 x 170cm).
