Cosy & off grid L2H2 campervan

I converted this van myself between 2018 and 2020 (lots of love in it). It’s incredibly cozy and has numerous quirky details. It has everything you need for an off-grid camping trip.

You can see from the pictures all the unique and carefully crafted details (please contact me for even more pictures). My family and I absolutely adore it and we are sad to be letting it go but we have grown and need to upsize. Description:
LIVING AREA
A spacious yet cozy space with good natural light coming in from the side window and two skylights. It has a comfortable seat (memory foam) for two adults and space to add a couple of foldable chairs. The area includes a pull-out, handmade wooden dining table. Under the seating area, there is plenty of storage (sliding doors). Also, under the bed, there are several shelves for storing different items. A large storage area and the fridge drawer complete the space.

There are various USB plug sockets and one 12v plug, perfect for charging any electrical devices. It has 4 LED ceiling lights (with different switches) and a dimmable LED strip over the kitchen that creates a warm atmosphere for chilled evenings. The van comes with a swing-type chair which can be fitted at the entrance, using two strong eye bolts (included).

BED
The main bed is a fixed bed (135cm x 180cm) with memory foam from Ikea. After trying different setups and layouts, I think a fixed bed is the best way to go. The bed is the perfect size for 2 adults. A dimmable LED strip on top of the bed provides a perfect setup for reading or just relaxing. Over the fixed bed, there is an optional bed for a toddler. Also, an extra bed can be fitted under the fixed bed (taking some space from the boot). We also converted the seating area into a bed for our baby at night.

KITCHEN
The kitchen has a handcrafted wooden worktop with a stainless steel sink (fitted under the worktop). The custom-made kitchen cabinets provide ample storage space for food and kitchen items (2 extra-large drawers, 2 large drawers, a spice rack, numerous hooks for kitchen utensils, and space under the sink for miscellaneous kitchen/cleaning items). There is also shelving above the kitchen unit for additional items. The sink comes with a wooden lid that makes the kitchen area bigger (extra space for cooking if needed).

The van has a 3-burner stove and oven (with grill). LPG comes from a 25L underslung gas tank with an electrovalve (can be opened and closed from the kitchen). A carbon monoxide sensor and a 31L Dometic CoolFreeze CDF complete the kitchen.

WATER SYSTEM
It has a 12v water pump with a 66L fresh water container, easily filled with a hose to the filling point installed in the back of the van (inside). There is also a 50L grey water container that is emptied via a lid-sealed pipe underneath the van. Water levels are indicated inside the living area.

A Whale Expanse 8L water heater (LPG) is fitted under the sink. It provides hot water to the sink tap and the shower in the back of the van. A Shurflo pump and expansion tank fitted under the van provide the pressure for the system.

TOILET / SHOWER
The van does not include a Porta Potty. External shower point (Bullfinch External Shower Outlet) is situated in the back of the van (inside). The shower can be heated. An internal shower can be set in the living area if needed.

HEATING
The van has a 5kW Chinese Diesel heater which heats the living space very quickly, keeping you warm during the winter months. The temperature can be adjusted using the control panel in the living area and the remote controller.

STORAGE
In addition to the kitchen storage there is plenty of storage space under the seating in the living area as well as the 2 large storage cabinets above the bed. There are also 6 shelf spaces around the van for games and other miscellaneous items. There are also 2x coat hooks & 1x dog accessory hooks. In the living area, the cover under the table can rotate and a big dog crate can be fitted (photos available on request).

ELECTRICAL SET-UP
The van has a 270W solar panel and 1 x 110Ah leisure batterie allowing you to stay completely off-grid.

– Leisure AGM battery 120 Ah (with garanty)
– Leisure battery monitoring system (Victron mobile APP)

– 300W Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter
– 4 x LED sealing lights (1 with remote controller)
– 2 x LED strip lights (Kitchen and bed. Both dimeable)
– 2 x USB ports
– 3 x 12v plugs
– GPS tracker (using SIM card)

INSULATION
It has been fitted out with sound deadening, insulation (Eco Loft Thermal, Kaliflex 20 & Hard isulation panels). Partition between cab and living area is insulated as well.

WINDOWS & VENTILATION
Tinted side window (can be opened), A narrowboat port hole in the back (can be opened) and two skylights (Dometic 40×40). All come with handmade insulation covers. An handmade adjustable air vent for airflow (attached to the skylight) is included.

ROOF RACK
The van comes with a handmade racks. The solar panel is purposely fitted to one side in order to allow plenty of room for extra space in the othe side. Rack includes some hooks & a C shape rail to attach the awning.
