Ford Ranger 2004/ Adventure Demountable
The camper de-mounts from the truck and the truck can be driven away from the camper- so useful when camping!
The camper: American 1997 Adventure demountable has been re-sealed externally with new marine grade eyelets to connect the camper to the truck. There is a crack in the bathroom skylight and some dents, scratches on the bodywork and a small amount of corrosion on the steel attachments on the outside. It has been re-furbished inside including new floor, cupboard doors, paint, curtains and upholstery. The camper includes a solar panel system (panel replaced 2018), a 60 litre cold water tank, electric water pump, Hot water system that runs off 240v mains and gas, a 3-way fridge freezer (gas, 12v, mains 240v), gas grill and hob, extractor fan and hood, kitchen sink, LED lighting, bathroom with shower, sink and thetford toilet (repairs have been made to a crack in shower tray). The camper also comes with a pull-out awning, tent awning and caravan cover.
The truck: September 2004 Ford Ranger Super cab XLT. I have owned it since 2013 and have the repair and MOT history since then. The truck is mechanically very sound with a full gearbox rebuild, and front wheel bearings in April, tracking rods and brake pipes replaced earlier this year. 2.5 turbo diesel, barn doors, air-con, electric windows, airbags, 1.8m bed. The truck is category S but has been repaired as otherwise it would not have passed its MOTS. It has has a number of dents and scratches on the bodywork. Fitted with camper clips by Niche in 2014. It also has drive rite airbags fitted to the rear suspension (this helps with heavier loads). MOT until October 2022.
Originally built by Adventure in America in 1997. The internal cupboard doors have been replaced with birch ply faced with formica, the floor is a new hard wearing vinyl and the walls and cupboards were repainted in 2018. Some minor scuffs and scratches. Curtains and upholstery were replaced in 2018 to include a curtain for the double bed. The bench seat fold up into a bunk bed. Bathroom remains as original- this has rarely been used.
