Iveco Daily 35S13 MWB
Ex prison service van, now converted into campervan, although it is registered as a panel van. Interior dimensions are 3.61m long, 1.90m wide, and 1.89-1.94cm height, varying due to the insulation setup. Includes double bed, small gas cooker, almost full 15l butane canister, 12v diesel heater, 5 x 120ah leisure batteries, 3 x 99.6cm x 66.5cm, 120w solar panels, split charge relay, 1000-2000w mains inverter, 12v usb charger socket, fold down desk/table, space for a toilet (not incl), large cupboard with ample storage, and 4 drawers under the bed. Also has extractor fan, pull out step for the side door, and 3 functional flaps in the roof as seen in the picture of the solar panels, although they are currently under some insulation, they are easy enough to get to. Bluetooth radio in the cab. Starts very well, even in cold temperatures, and runs well despite its relatively high milage. Has Mot until the 29th of June, 2024, and has received service at the same time as the Mot. Cons: There is an intermittent engine fault where the engine light does come on, but it’s been doing that since I bought it 3 years ago and it drives fine with it, and hasn’t caused it to fail a single Mot. There is also noise that comes from the door between the body and the cab when driving, and while it’s not bothered me enough to correct, I can see it as an issue worth looking in to. The build is rather basic as it was done on a budget which mostly went into the electronics as I wanted my large tv and playstation to run in there, and both the interior and exterior are a bit tatty as the prison service didn’t care much if their vehicles got bashed around. Not actually lined with wood. They are stickers over the original kingspan and fiberglass interior. Further decoration wouldn’t go amiss. The solar panel charge controller is also uncovered, although it is out of reach of children. Only selling because I’m heading off to Japan for a year, and it wouldn’t do it well to be sat around for that long.
Conversion was done by myself, and is while rather basic in its construction it is solid and fully functional. Mostly made from pine, and the van uses its original insulation as a prison transport van with some modifications. For further details see the vehicle description because I copied it from an advert I made elsewhere.
