Ford Freda (Mazda Bongo)
We purchased this Ford Freda from Japanese Auto Locators (based in the Midlands) in 2020. The vehicle is an import from Japan and has been an excellent camper for us since then, including trips to Spain, all around France and many weekends away in the UK. We are selling as we have had a baby and sadly we now need a campervan with more seats. The van is in excellent condition for its age and has run brilliantly for us. We have added a pop top and the back includes a double bed which folds away for daytime/cooking etc. Happy to take questions, send photos etc if helpful.
This vehicle is registered as an MPV. When we bought it in 2020 we removed the rear seats and installed the bed, cupboards etc. We had the pop top professionally installed by Japanese Auto Locators (who we bought the van from).
The design is relatively simple, with a fold out bed, worktop and cupboards. We do not have a leisure battery or gas fitted.
There are 3 sockets on the van, powered by a hook up on the rear bumper.
There is a slot under the worktop for a cool box which has a socket.
1 x double bed for 2 adults. The pop top has boards which can be fitted to allow an adult to sleep in there if desired. We’ve always just used it for storage though! Freda’s/Bongo’s aren’t huge. Great for two adults but too much of a squeeze for kids or a third person.
