About the car:
We’ve owned it since 2011, there were 2 previous owners.
It’s a 2006 Fiat Doblo high roof with a 1.9l diesel engine.
Mileage: 76000. 45 to 50 mpg.
MOT due: 22 November 2023
Tax: May 2024
Service history: Some, but I’ve done most of this for the past 2 years. Recent oil change, fuel filter, steering pump, EGR valve, exhaust front pipe, thermostat, anti roll bar bushes. Timing belt replaced 2021 at 68000miles.
Tyres: Continental EcoCompact 6 fitted about 15 months ago, 72000miles.
Bodywork: Metallic blue. Only one ding, which is on the front wing driver’s side. Volvo roof rails.
Towing hitch: This has never been used to tow a trailer only used for a hitch mounted bike carrier.
Generally in good condition all round for its year.
Although it’s a camper it can also be switched back to a 5 seater, 3 seater or 2 seater by removing a dozen or so bolts to take out the camper units and replacing them with the back seats (which are included).
We did the conversion ourselves, the list of features is long.
Floor: Plywood, thin layer of insulation. Carpet tiles.
Ceiling: Original covering with insulation and vapour barrier.
Windows: Tinted rear windows.
Curtains/blinds: Close fitting blackout curtains. Also roll up blind between front seats and rear area (stored on shelf above front seats.
Passenger side unit: Gas bottle, 10l water container with pump, Washing up bowl with pumped water, 2 burner gas cooker with grill, Insulated cold box with “Peltier” type cooler fitted. 4 small drawers. Fire extinguisher.
Sleeping/sitting units: 2 units with 4 drawers and Porta potti. 4 cushions. The bed is made up by opening the 4 drawers, lifting the cushions to allow the bed plywood base to hinge over the drawers (with support laths), spread out cushions to form mattress, finally, place roll-up foam mattress topper over the cushions. Size: 900mm wide 1800mm long.
Storage: Shelf above front seats. Hinged floor panels over rear footwells. 4 High level pockets for small items.
Electrical: 100Ah leisure battery under passenger seat (with battery voltage display). Concealed wiring. Hook-up socket in rear door. Fuse box, consumer unit, battery charger, 240v double socket behind sliding panel above driver’s side wheel arch.
4 strip lights. 2 12v outlets one with usb charging socket.
