We’re selling our beloved Ford Transit Campervan, Sugar. She’s got low mileage, just passed her MOT with no issues, 2010 model. With only 65,000 miles on the clock, this campervan has been well looked after and is ready for its next owner.
It’s fully insulated and has a diesel heater for colder nights. We took it around Spain, France and Scotland in the summer, it copes with heat as well! The double bed is fixed and sleeps two, with masses of storage space underneath, and reading lights above.
It’s got a medium wheel base (5.5 metres long) and medium height (not the tallest, not the shortest). The slightly shorter wheel base means that it fits around city streets just fine. This campervan is a great choice for getaways. It was converted from a 15 seater minibus, so it’s surprisingly roomy inside. It’s got two belted seats in the front. The passenger seat swivels around, ‘captain’s chair’ style.
It’s got two fitted gas hobs and an electric-pump fed sink and tap – combined with lots of storage cupboards, this makes a nice little kitchen. It’s got a pull-out table to sit at, which can be up at the same time as the bed, and an awning that attaches to the side for meals outdoors. There’s also a portable thermoelectric fridge and fire extinguisher included.
It’s got a 2.4L diesel engine with a 6 speed manual gearbox. Registered weight is 2500kg (not an HGV). Weighed and verified since conversion was completed, by the previous owner.
The MOT runs until 12th June 2025, and the camper had a full service in June 2024.
It’s got a brand new (June 2024) lithium leisure battery and 100w solar panel fitted to the roof, which gives a good supply of reliable power when off-grid. There’s a mains hook-up for when you’re on a campsite.
There’s no built-in toilet or shower.
There are a couple of dings on the paint on the exterior, but nothing major. We’re in North London if you’d like to take a look at the camper. She’s been a reliable and beloved vehicle for us and we’re sad to see her go – we hope you take her on more adventures!

This van has undergone an almost complete conversion, designed with adventure and comfort in mind. The bed is fixed, with plenty of storage underneath. There are reading lights and person cubbies above the bed. The kitchen has two fixed hobs and an electric pump fed tap. The internal condition is good, requiring just some small cosmetic touches to finish it off to your taste.
