Ford Transit Campervan Conversion

For sale is our Ford Transit Campervan conversion.

This is a 2007 panel van that has done 81,000 miles. The conversion consists of two side and rear barn door windows professionally fitted. A fully insulated floor with foil backed insulation, marine plywood and vinyl covering. Walls have been insulated with recycled plastic bottle insulation and a vapour barrier before being covered in paneling. There are six spotlights grouped in three pairs of two as well as two more individual reading lights. There is a selection of cigarette lighter and usb sockets installed around the van as well as a fan installed (professionally) in the ceiling. The front seats all swivel 180 degrees to enable eating or games in the front section of the van. There is also potential to use this area for an extra bed using a system such as the Cabbunk if needed (not supplied). The van has six matching seats in total and the rear bench of three is easily removable to create more space and can be clipped back in to carry passengers. All seats have seat belts. The van has a solar panel on the roof that feeds two leisure batteries that were brand new in 2023. Also included is a Dometic fridge.

The rear of the van converts between two benches and a double bed. There is a small extension to the bed that can be added for extra leg room. We also used a DIY bunk bed with our children which can be seen in the photos. This slides into place and can then be stored using the hooks in the ceiling if/when it is not being used. There is storage under both benches, inside the electrical cupboard and above the drivers cab. There are black out curtains all around and also included are black out panels for the front cab section of the van. There is a table that can be used in the front and rear sections of the van.

This is a DIY conversion and therefore it is not perfect. Everything has been done with the best intentions but you will need to check that you are happy. It has been great fun for our family. The van is ready to use straight away or the bed and cupboard can be removed to create a fully insulated blanket canvas to build your own design on.

There is a tow bar although I have not used this as well as Ford Alloy Wheels.

We have had no problems at all and are only selling due to not using it enough and it deserves to be used. I am hoping that somebody will take it and use it lots going forwards.

The Leaf Springs were replaced on the last MOT and it has just passed this years MOT so comes with 12 months full MOT going forwards. It drives very well and is comfortable.

The only faults I can see are that the sliding door has started to be temperamental in that it can need locking from the inside as opposed to with the central locking. It has got stuck on one occasion but seems to be working well now. There is a small patch of rust on the passenger side rear panel as seen in the photos and a few other minor marks when you look closely.
