Ford Transit Campervan Conversion. 2003. 72,000 miles. Manual. Ex Minibus. 12 Month M.O.T. Sleeps 3. £13,500.

For Video walk through C&P link:

Newly converted long wheelbase, medium high roof camper van.

The van is fully self-contained and includes everything you need to live off grid for extended amount of time, in comfort! The build has been designed to easily transform to your needs. Hand crafted with love using beautiful English hardwoods and tough yet comfortable fabrics.

The van has been well insulated with sound deadening silver foil insulation first, and then 25mm cellotex on both floor and ceiling. I have also filled all excess areas with recycled bottle wool-type insulation.

The Conversion:

Interchangeable layout allowing you to enjoy the space in various different ways.

There is a full-size double bed at the back means you won’t be needing to make up or fold out your bed each evening or put it away each morning.
There is a bedside table running along one side.

Beneath the bed is a large boot/garage space, plenty big enough to store all your adventure gear. It stretches 2m at its longest part so long enough even to store surf boards or bikes.

The main living space can be set up in the orientation of your choosing. If you are wanting a table, you can set it up in an adjustable booth style dining/working/chilling area or if you’d prefer more seating the table can also be placed between the two seating bunks to enlarge the sofa space into a long L shaped sofa, or spare bed.
The table can also be stowed away entirely to allow for more floor space.

Under each seating unit is large space for storage of your choice. The smaller unit has been designed large enough to store a porta potti style toilet should you desire. Half of the space under the larger unit is used for the electrical system, but there is lots of space left for your other storage needs.

The Kitchen area consist of a compact yet well-equipped counter, topped with a Walnut stained Beech hardwood countertop. There is an electric tap and stainless steel undermount sink fed by a 25l freshwater tank and draining into another 25l tank stored in the cupboard beneath. There is also a sleek black 2 burner gas hob, the gas bottle is stored in the vented cupboard beneath. There is a large amount of storage within the cupboards for your food or cookery gear. The countertop also has a flip up extension for when you need that extra chopping space in the kitchen, or it also conveniently can be used as a separate workspace if the table is away or in use.

Above the kitchen unit there is also a long shelf made from Oak, potentially used for tea/coffee, spices or any other things you may want to hand.

The fridge is stored underneath the bed and can be pulled out on heavy duty ball bearing sliders. It can also be used as extra seating around the dining table when having extra for dinner!

Other storage in the van includes two large overhead cupboards at the back of the van idea for clothing.
Also, one more smaller oak shelf up front of the van for whatever is most convenient, the shelf is well lit, so I imagined it to be a nice place to put a plant or maybe some artwork or books.

The lighting in the van consists of 4 touch sensitive warm white led downlight allowing you to have only the light which you need at the time on. There is also an led strip light running across the full length of the van ceiling for that moody mood lighting!

Being that the van was a minibus it does have a lot of windows so each of which does have a set of curtains, made with thick black out material which you can close for privacy and to help with insulation.

The colour scheme in the van is light and earthy with wood tones and greens (Paint colour- Dulux Beach Walk, Dulux Wild Cactus). I have tried to keep the van as a bit of a blank canvas allowing space for its owner to put their own print.

Safety- There is a fire extinguisher on board and also a carbon monoxide alarm.

The Electrical System:

There is a large 220amp/h lead acid battery bank which is charged by a 375w solar panel installed on the roof. This is the main source of charge, but the battery will also be charged via the alternator whilst the engine is running. (Voltage Sensitive Relay installed to ensure no dead started battery)

Victron 20amp MPPT Solar Charge Controller

The 12v fuse board is where each 12v appliance is connected to the batteries, here, should you need, you are able to change the fuse to; The lights. The fridge. The Tap. The 2 USB charge points.

There is also an Inverter which allows you to plug in and use any 240v appliance you might need i.e., laptop charger, blender, toaster ect.

The fridge is a Dometic 2-way 12v/240v CombiCool.

The Van:

The van itself has been very well looked after by its one previous owner St Joseph’s College. It has only covered < 72,000 miles. It has been regularly maintained. It has just passed its M.O.T with no advisories so 12 months until next M.O.T.

It is a very smooth to drive, and with all the curtains open you have extremely good visibility the whole way around the van.

I have removed mostly all of the St Joseph's College sign writing except one smaller one on the front top of the van. I felt it was quite nice to leave a small trace of the vans past. of course, this may not be to your liking in which case I am more than happy to remove it as it does come off very easily. Inside the van I have also left a couple stickers paying tribute to its past. '16 Passengers' and 'No Standing'.

If you have any more questions about the van or would like to arrange a viewing, please feel free to drop me a message or alternatively give me a call on 07876202362

Archie.
