Van drives superb and has done us well on many trips. The last being last sumer around Yorkshire and Easter up around the Isle of skye.
And long trips the van gets around 36mpg with steady driving.
Bodywork has age related marks, I have tried to document this in the photos. There are two spots (front passenger door and drivers side under side window) where bodywork was carried out before I owned it. There are some minor cracks in the filler used, however when polished and cleaned this is not noticed. I choose to leave this as it did not bother me.
There is some small rust bubbles on the front arches that. The underside of the van is immaculate and the garage that carries out my MOTs has commented on how clean it is for a 56plate.
Overall a good honest van with loads of life left.
Ford Transit MK7 GLX 130bhp model.
Self build campervan that includes the following
Fitted working kitchen unit with running cold water and a two burner gas hob. This is one of the dometic units that has performed brilliantly over the time we have had it. Is fitted to an Oak worktop and a custom made base unit.
The van has a 70ltr water tank toward the back of the van that has a level gauge to help with keeping it topped up.
The van has 2 110ah leisure batteries that are charged through a smart relay off the vans main battery, there is also a epever mppt that manages the charge from 2 100w renogy flexible solar panels that are fitted to the roof. The van also has hidden away electric hook up that runs a smart charger that again charges the leisure batteries.
Seating wide the van has the L shaped sofa and the buddy box behind the passenger seat, we have had around 6 people sat around the table before now. The L shaped sofa doubles as the double bed and is around 175cm in length, tallest person sleeps on the outside will get around 180cm. This bed also doubles as storage as it flicks up to allow for storage of what ever you want to take with you (clothing for us). There is also a small bunk above the bike storage that will fit a child upto the age of around 11 depending on their size(my child is 147cm and fits)
The back of the van can fit two fullsized bikes using the axle mounts that are in there currently, this could be altered depending on your own preferences. There is also an area under yhe bench in the back for plenty of storage. There is a small 12v pressure washer built into the back of the van for washing bikes down or dirty kit or a pet dog etc…
The van also has a small rooflight for ventilation and a fiamma 3mtr f45 awning mounted off the roof rack.
Overall this a camper built with maximising the space available. We travelled around Europe for two summers for 5 weeks each time in this and it was perfect. About the rest of the van, it has done just over the 100k mark and has the chain driven 2.2ltr engine that made the transi van to have. The vanhas recently been serviced
L shaped sofa that turns into a double width ways. The side of the bed closest to the front is around 180cm and the other side 172cm
Bunk is smaller, would fit child up to around 148cm.
