In addition to regular servicing, we have had a new Starter Motor, EGR Valve, Front Anti-Rollbar links, Track Rod Ends, Front Wishbones, Brake Discs and Pads Front + Rear, 4 new tyres, new auxiliary belts and tensioner.
Runs and drives well, has proven to be very reliable for us and have taken for many long distance trips without skipping a beat.
The bodywork is intact with no rust holes as you see in many Transits. The paintwork is a bit patchy and could do with a wet stand/machine polishing, but generally looks tidy.
For sale is our 3 berth Ford Transit off-grid capable comfortable camper (Vinnie), converted to high specification featuring comprehensive kitchen and electrics. The van is a great size, it is easy to drive and fits in a standard sized parking space. The conversion specification and layout is unique and has been amazing for us and our daughter. We are expecting our second child in the new year and as such itโs sadly time for Vinnie to find a new home.

Van Features:
4 genuine ford seats. 2 individual front seats and dual rear seat.
3 berth camper set up with one double bed and a childโs single bed. Double bed foam is triple layered (hard foam, soft foam and memory foam) and is very comfortable. You could fit in another bed across the two front seats if required.
The day sofa turns into a bed easily using an electric actuator. The rear part of the sofa completes the bed. The childโs bed mattress is stored behind the sofa. There are custom made thermal blackout blinds for all rear windows, the roof vent and a full height thermal blackout curtain to segregate the van cab and sleeping area for complete privacy.
The camper boasts a full kitchen set up with 28cm stainless steel sink (2 x 10L tanks with submersible pump, operated by tap with micro switch), 700w microwave, electric induction hob and 30L 12v cool box fridge.
There is ample storage including kitchen 4 cupboards (6 including fridge and electrical cupboard), 2 kitchen drawers and 2 large under-bed drawers.
The van comes with a Fiamma Bi-Pot 39 toilet, stored in wooden enclosure with lid for discreetness. Can be easily removed.
Heating, Ventilation and Cooling:
This van has been fully insulated to survive all weathers. The floor has 25mm foil topped insulation board. The sides and roof were stuffed with Diall plastic loft insulation, covered with bubble foil insulation roll and all joints sealed with aluminum tape. With everything then being over boarded with ply and finished in grey (smoke) carpeting.
Before installing insulation, clarity acoustics 2.5mm sound deadening mat was installed on the sides and ceiling, to dampen external and panel noise. Sound deadening insulation has been installed in cab on floor and roof under headlining, to insulate the cab and reduce road noise.
A Diesel heater has been installed discreetly under the rear passenger seat, the vent has been extended around to heat the whole van. The diesel is fed directly from the main vehicle fuel tank, so no separate tanks to fill up. The heater has a wall mounted controller and a remote for convenience.
The van features a roof vent with fan which can be set to extract or intake air to moderate the temperature or remove steam.
Electrical System:
The van features a comprehensive, high spec electrical installation, with the important parts professionally designed and installed. The larger components such as battery and charger are all discreetly installed in the front passenger seat box.
Core components โ The van benefits from a huge 12v 280ah LiFePO4 Lithium Battery, controlled by a Daly BMS with Bluetooth. Power is controlled by a DC to DC NDS Power Service GOLD30-M 3-way charger โ this will charge the battery at 30amps from the vehicle alternator, solar or mains. A 100-watt solar panel is installed on the roof.
12v electrics โ all circuits are terminated in a fuse board within a dedicated cupboard. Appropriately sized thinwall cable, concealed within conduit in the walls provides power to: Diesel Heater (for controls and fan), 2 x Dual USB Quick Charge 3.0 fast chargers, Bed Actuator, Roof Fan, Reading Light, Outside Light, Fridge/Coolbox, 12V Outlet, Water Pump, 12v outlet in cupboard, under cupboard strip light and 4 x ceiling spot lights.
240v electrics โ 240v power is provided to the onboard Microwave and Induction hob by a large inverter. Load is protected via an RCD and the inverter is powered via a 100a inline trip breaker. A test certificate will be provided for the 240v electrics. For convenience the inverter is connected to a relay which turns the inverter off/on via a switch in the kitchen cupboard.
Safety Features:
Fire extinguisher, roof mounted combined smoke and carbon monoxide alarm, break glass hammer, emergency door release handle on rear door.
No gas! All appliances are electric and the heater is diesel, so no gas to worry about!
