Fully restored and converted vintage coach. Plaxton supreme IV coach (1985) based on the legendary Bedford PJK 330 turbo 5L diesel engine and VAS chassis with power steering and air brakes. Fully restored by Corbus and converted (2015) with two large double berths, after spending time at the Beith Transport museum. Gladness has been a year round live aboard ever since. Interior refurbished in 2020. Anyone can legally drive her on a normal car licence as registered as an ex public service vehicle (see INF52 the official UK government’s policy). SORN since January 2023 but exempt from Tax (168 pa) and MOT from 2025. 193138 miles which is very low for this type of vehicle. Gladness has been regularly serviced by Bedford specialists and insured by Rigton Insurance Services. Large, light and airy living space which converts to king size bed with plenty of storage. Multi-fuel stove (Hobbit 2020), Denon stereo with Wharfedale Diamond 9s, and various LED lighting options. Beach carpentry bench/worktop with slide out dining table and chairs. Fridge, hob with separate grill and oven and vintage 1950’s Kitchenette. Bathroom with sink, shower, toilet and full length mirror. Large double berth over the cab. Fiamma bike rack. 2×245 watt solar panels with a bank of 4x120Ah AGM batteries and 3000 watt inverter providing 240 and 12 volt systems (9x240v and 6 USB sockets).
